As Forças Armadas, actualmente compostas pelos seus Branches, Navy, Army, and Air Force, although integrated in the State's Public Administration, continue to be constituted in the light of a specific administrative regime, namely in its performance and purposes.Armed Forces’ military personnel have been called upon to actively intervene in a multi-sectorial spectrum, namely, fulfilling with the international commitments of the Portuguese State in the military sphere, in humanitarian and peace missions, undertaken by international organizations of which Portugal is a part, such as the UN, NATO, CPLP, and also in civil protection missions, as occurred particularly in the prevention and aftermath of fires, transporting dangerous goods, or even in the logistics required by the COVID-19 pandemic.I believe there is an interest in identifying
