Dinâmicas de povoamento no concelho de Nelas: do período Romano à definição do Reino (Re)pensar a arqueologia concelhia

Abstract

Estruturado de acordo com uma conceptualização de atuação diferente sobre o Património Arqueológico, o presente estudo enuncia uma estratégia metodológica articulada e complacente com uma abordagem integradora e relacional de várias fontes familiares aos indicadores arqueológicos, como sejam as geográficas, documentais e toponímicas. A partir das bases de informação compiladas, desenvolve uma aproximação às dinâmicas de povoamento do território atual do concelho de Nelas, respetivamente entre o povoamento Romano e os inícios da Baixa Idade Média. Num sentido teórico-prático, esta etapa alude à “Paisagem Antiga” na tentativa de reconstituir os vínculos dinâmicos existentes neste tipo de análise, quer de forma isolada como conjunta, por sua vez, verificáveis nos tipos de ocupação e suas configurações espaciais, relações económicas, sociais e políticas locais entre os sítios e região ou na própria mobilidade interna e externa à área em questão.Posto isto, volve à “Paisagem Atual” sob a preocupação em ultrapassar, através dos resultados dos ensaios concretizados numa fase anterior, a posição estática atribuída às representações mapeadas dos vestígios arqueológicos, afastando assim a percetibilidade isolada e inflexibilidade histórica de cada ocorrência, postura vulgarmente tomada pela comunidade em geral. É no resultado desse raciocínio e na labiríntica conjuntura político-administrativa contemporânea que apresenta, num segundo momento, uma abordagem às políticas patrimoniais e sua inferência na comunidade em geral. Perspetiva, desse modo, enaltecer também o peso da operacionalização autárquica na programação de alternativas e complementos transversais à legislação nacional que procurem, comumente, a intensificação do envolvimento da sociedade em geral e uma gestão autárquica mais participativa e dinâmica sobre esta herança do concelho de Nelas: o património arqueológico.

Structured according to a conceptualization on differently acting upon the Archaeological Heritage, the folowing study formulates a methodological strategy, articulated and complacent with an integrative and relational approach of several sources acquainted to archaeological indicators, such as geographical, documented and toponymical ones.Based on the compiled information gathered, it develops a rapprochement to the settlement dynamics of the present territory of Nelas, respectively between the Roman settlement and the beginnings of the Late Middle Ages. In a theoretical-practical meaning, this stage alludes to the “Ancient Landscape” in an attempt to reconstruct the dynamic links present in this form of analysis, whether in a secluded as well as a conjoint way, verifiable by the occupational types and their spatial configurations, economic and social relations, and the local policies between the spots and the region, or on the internal and external mobility of the area itself.With this in mind, it returns to the "Current Landscape" on the concern to surpass, through assay results carried out in a previous phase, the static position attatched to mapped representations of the archaeological remains, removing the secluded perceptibility and historical inflexibility of each occurrence, a common stance taken by the community in general. It's in the product of this reasoning and in the contemporary political-administrative conjuncture that lies an approach to patrimonial policies and their illation in the community in general. It aims to emphasize the municipal wheight in programming alternatives and complements transversal to the national legislation that seek to intensify society's involvement in general and a more encompassed and dynamic management on this heritage of Nelas: the archaeological heritage.
