Responsabilidade Social das Organizações: O estado da arte na segunda década do milénio

Abstract

O presente estudo tem como principal objetivo caracterizar o estado da arte do constructo de Responsabilidade Social das Organizações (RSO) na segunda década do milénio – de 2010 a 2020. Deste modo, damos continuidade ao estudo de Terrível (2011), que analisou o estado da arte da temática da RSO na primeira década do novo milénio – entre 2000 a 2010. Através de uma análise bibliométrica, recorrendo-se a uma “Keyword Search” (que identificou 10.057 publicações) e a uma “Citation Search” (283 publicações), acedemos às publicações da coleção da SSCI (Social Sciences Citation Index) incluída na base de dados Web of Science. Os resultados mostram o crescimento exponencial do tópico nos últimos dez anos, existindo um lato universo de publicações. Numa primeira fase do estudo, procedemos à identificação dos autores e revistas mais ativos, bem como ao tipo de documentos publicados, às categorias científicas de maior relevo e, por fim, aos idiomas e afiliações das publicações. Numa segunda fase do estudo, com recurso ao software Vosviewer, que permite elaborar mapas bibliométricos de similitude, foram explorados dois mapas bibliométricos – o acoplamento bibliográfico de referências e a coocorrência de keywords. A análise conjunta destes dois tipos de mapas possibilitou a identificação de três linhas orientadoras da investigação acerca da RSO: uma primeira linha constituída maioritariamente por revisões da literatura acerca da RSO, uma segunda constituída por publicações que analisam a RSO em interação com outras variáveis e, por último, uma terceira linha que se prende mais com o construto de sustentabilidade ambiental e com a sua relação com a RSO. Perante os resultados obtidos, considera-se que a RSO se encontra numa fase de transição entre o segundo estádio de desenvolvimento (Avaliação e Aumento) e o terceiro estádio (Consolidação e Acomodação) do modelo de evolução dos conceitos de Reichers & Schneider (1990).

The main objective of this study is to characterize the state of the art of the construct of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the second decade of the millennium – from 2010 to 2020. In this way, continuing the study by Terrível (2011), who analyzed the state of the art of the theme of CSR in the first decade of the new millennium – between 2000 and 2010. Through a bibliometric analysis, using a “Keyword Search” (which identified 10,057 publications) and a “Citation Search” (283 publications), we accessed publications from the SSCI (Social Sciences Citation Index) collection included in the Web of Science database. The results show the exponential growth of the topic in the last ten years, with a wide range of publications. In the first phase of the study, we identified the most active authors and journals, as well as the type of documents published, the most prominent scientific categories and, finally, the languages and affiliations of the publications. In a second phase of the study, using the Vosviewer software, which allows the elaboration of bibliometric maps of similarity, two bibliometric maps were explored – the bibliographic coupling of references and the co-occurrence of keywords. The joint analysis of these two types of maps allowed the identification of three guidelines of research on CRS: a first line consisting mostly of literature reviews on CRS, a second consisting of publications that analyze CRS in interaction with other variables and, finally, a third line that is more related to the construct of environmental sustainability and its relationship with CRS. Based on the results obtained, it is considered that CRS is in a transition phase between the second stage of development (Assessment and Augmentation) and the third stage (Consolidation and Accommodation) of the evolution model of the concepts of Reichers & Schneider (1990).
