Os fluidos da Terra e da vida! Ensino da Vulcanologia ao 10.º ano e do Sangue e Sistema cardiovascular ao 9.º ano.

Abstract

O atual relatório insere-se no âmbito da unidade curricular ‘Estágio Pedagógico e Relatório’, do segundo ano do ‘Mestrado em Ensino de Biologia e Geologia no 3.º ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário’, da Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade de Coimbra. Tem como objetivos principais relatar e analisar criticamente as atividades que desenvolvi na escola, como professora estagiária, durante o meu percurso de estágio. Nele são apresentadas e ponderadas as ações letivas concretizadas, bem como uma apreciação do desempenho dos estudantes perante essas ações, com vista a determinar o sucesso das suas aprendizagens e a adequabilidade dos recursos e estratégias utilizados no processo de ensino e nas avaliações de caráter formativo e sumativo. Para tal, procedeu-se ao enquadramento teórico relativo às práticas letivas, em termos da sua moldura legal e da sua contextualização pedagógica e didática, considerando as normativas preconizadas pelo Ministério da Educação. Seguiu-se o enquadramento teórico dos temas lecionados, de acordo com os conceitos e fundamentos científicos consignados nas Aprendizagens Essenciais e nos manuais escolares adotados pela escola para o 10.º e 9º anos de escolaridade. O estágio foi realizado na Escola Secundária D. Duarte, em Coimbra, durante o ano letivo de 2020/2021, e teve como intuito criar condições ao exercício da ação docente na formação inicial docente do estagiário, contando com o apoio do orientador cooperante Professor Paulo Magalhães e de orientadores científicos da Universidade de Coimbra. Os objetivos específicos concretizados, passaram por: 1) planificar e implementar aulas; 2) selecionar e aplicar estratégias de ensino e recursos didáticos, consoante os temas a serem abordados, as turmas e as circunstâncias ou condições logísticas; 3) analisar a sua efetividade e êxito, através de investigação sobre a aprendizagem dos estudantes, e 4) autorreflexão do estagiário sobre as suas ações letivas. Algumas das estratégias e recursos implementados foram o relatório “V de Gowin”, atividades práticas de lápis e papel, recursos audiovisuais e modelos didáticos 3D. As práticas letivas deste estágio incidiram essencialmente numa turma de 10.º ano, do ensino secundário, relativamente à disciplina de Biologia e Geologia, e numa turma de 9.º ano, do 3.º Ciclo do ensino Básico, na disciplina de Ciências Naturais. Os temas lecionados nas aulas foram Vulcanologia (vulcanismo secundário, vulcanismo e tectónica, evidências em Portugal, benefícios e prevenção dos riscos) ao 10.º ano, e o sangue e sistema cardiovascular (constituintes e ciclo cardíaco) ao 9.º ano de escolaridade. A análise efetuada através do relatório “V de Gowin”, dos pré-testes e pós-testes, permitiu constatar que a aprendizagem dos estudantes sobre estes temas, após as aulas assistidas da estagiária, foi significativa em muitos dos seus aspetos e conduziu a conhecimento duradouro, motivando os estudantes para temas de Ciências Naturais e para o trabalho cooperativo.

The current report is part of the curricular unit 'Pedagogical Training and Report' of the second year of the 'Master in Biology and Geology Teaching in the 3rd cycle of Basic and Secondary Education', Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra. The main objectives of this report are to report and critically analyze the activities carried out in the school, as an intern teacher, during my pedagogical training. Therefore, in this report the teaching actions implemented are presented and considered, as well as an appreciation of the students' performance in these actions to determine the success of their learning and the adequacy of the resources and strategies used in the teaching process and in the formative and summative assessment. The theoretical context related to teaching practices was made, in terms of its legal framework and its pedagogical and didactic contextualization, considering the norms recommended by the Ministry of Education. Afterwards, the theoretical context of the topics taught, taking into account the scientific concepts set out in the “Aprendizagens Essenciais” and in the textbooks adopted by the school for the 10th and 9th years. The pedagogical training was held at “Escola Secundária D. Duarte”, in Coimbra, during the school year 2020/2021, and aimed to create conditions for the exercise of teaching in the initial teacher training of the trainee, with the support of the cooperative supervisor Professor Paulo Magalhães and scientific supervisors of the University of Coimbra. The specific objectives achieved were: 1) to plan and implement the lectures; 2) to select and apply teaching strategies and didactic resources, depending on the topics to be addressed, the classes and the circumstances or logistical conditions; 3) to analyze its effectiveness and success, by investigating the learning of the students; and 4) to reflect on the teaching actions conducted during the pedagogical training. Some of the strategies and resources implemented were the "V de Gowin" report, pencil and paper practical activities, audiovisual resources and 3D didactic models. The teaching practices of this pedagogical training were focused mainly on a class of the 10th grade of secondary education, in relation to the discipline of Biology and Geology, and in a class of the 9th grade of the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education, in the discipline of Natural Sciences. The topics taught in the classes were Volcanology (secondary volcanism, volcanism and tectonics, evidence in Portugal, benefits and risk prevention) at the 10th grade, and the blood and cardiovascular system (constituents and cardiac cycle) to the 9th grade. The analysis carried out through the "V de Gowin" report, the pre-tests and post-tests revealed that, at the end of the trainee assisted lectures, the students learning on these topics was significant in many of its aspects and led to lasting knowledge, motivating the students to Natural Science topics and to cooperative work.
