Abstract

Este trabalho desenvolve um debate, à luz dos mais recentes desenvolvimentos ocorridos em tecnologias como a engenharia genética, a nanotecnologia molecular, a criônica e a inteligência artificial, explorando a sustentação da ideia do ser humano vir a ultrapassar os seus próprios limites físicos e intelectuais. Partindo dos trabalhos percursores sobre a evolução da espécie, o texto coloca em discussão diferentes autores da atualidade e aborda aplicações recentes destas tecnologias. As conclusões realçam a dimensão dialética e imprevisível que revestem estes movimentos que atuam no campo da luta social e política. This paper develops a debate in the light of the latest developments in technologies such as genetic engineering, molecular nanotechnology, cryonics and artificial intelligence, exploring the support to the idea of the human come to exceed his physical and mental limits. Starting with the first works on the evolution of the specie, the text calls into question different authors of today and discusses the recent applications of these technologies. The findings highlight the dialectic and unpredictable dimension in these movements active in the field of social and political struggle.
