"Coimbra com Literatura"

Abstract

No decorrer dos últimos anos, o turismo literário tem alcançado um papel de relevo no quadro da oferta turística nacional, registando um significativo crescimento. Com o trabalho que aqui se apresenta, procuramos refletir sobre as potencialidades turísticas do património literário, analisando as suas características e especificidades, e propondo planos para investigações futuras. Para tal, foi tida em conta a riqueza cultural oferecida pelo património literário, assente na possibilidade dos seus partícipes percorrerem e descobrirem lugares de referência na obra e na vida de escritores de reconhecido mérito. Por outro lado, foram abordadas as potencialidades desta vertente na área turística enquanto possível fator de encorajamento da prática da leitura, promovendo assim a erudição intelectual e a ligação próxima entre os turistas e os próprios destinos. Apresentados os pressupostos teóricos, foi abordado o património literário e o turismo literário como possível parte integrante da oferta turística e cultural da cidade de Coimbra, sublinhando a grande riqueza cultural e histórica da referida cidade e o facto de ser berço ou morada de diversos escritores de renome nacional e internacional. Defende-se assim a valorização do património literário enquanto elemento turístico, apresentado como uma oportunidade para a cidade conseguir atrair novos e emergentes conceitos de turismo, diferenciando-se nacional e internacionalmente como destino de visita.Como metodologia, optou-se por apresentar primeiramente o enquadramento teórico que serviu de base ao presente estudo. Seguidamente foi realizado o levantamento de algum do património literário de Coimbra, analisando-se com maior detalhe aquele que se encontra divulgado na oferta turística da cidade. Procedeu-se ainda à explanação das atividades desenvolvidas no estágio curricular realizado na Casa da Escrita. Por fim, é apresentada uma proposta do roteiro, denominado “Coimbra com Literatura”, discutindo-se o seu possível contributo para a preservação, valorização e divulgação do património literário e do turismo literário da cidade de Coimbra.

During the last years, literary tourism has been achieving a relevant share within the national touristic offer, showing a considerable growth. With this work, we aim to ponder upon the literary tourism’s touristic potential, analyzing its characteristics and features and propose future investigations. For this purpose, the cultural wealth of the literary tourism was considered, based on the possibility of the attendees go through and find reference places about the work and life of recognized merit writers. On the other hand, there were approached the potentialities of the literary tourism as a boost for the reading practice, thus promoting intellectual scholarship and a tight connection between tourists and destinations. Presented the theoretical assumptions, we approached the literary heritage and tourism as a possible integral part of the touristic and cultural offer of Coimbra city, highlighting the cultural and historic wealth of this city and the fact that this city is the birthplace of many national and international renowned writers. Thus, the literary heritage is valued as a touristic element and presented as an opportunity for Coimbra city to attract new and emerging tourism concepts which allows to differentiate it as a visit destination. As a methodology, first the theoretical framework on which this study was based is presented. Then, a benchmark on the literary heritage of Coimbra city was done and highlighted those that are promoted in the touristic offer of the city. The activities developed during the internship in “Casa da Escrita” were presented. Lastly, a proposal of the road map named “Coimbra com Literatura” is presented and also its contribution for the preservation, appreciation and disclosure of the literary heritage and tourism of Coimbra city.
