Os Bastidores do OMA*AMO: Influências do Diálogo Colaborativo no Processo de Evolução Projetual

Abstract

Considerado como um dos escritórios de arquitetura da sua geração com mais sucesso a nível mundial, não só pelos projetos elaborados, mas principalmente pela capacidade que possui de chegar a todos os níveis culturais fazendo uma interface inteligente entre arquitetura e média, o OMA*AMO distingue-se, em grande parte, pelo seu caráter coletivo algo que transparece, à primeira vista, pelo tipo de assinatura do atelier que é um carimbo e não uma assinatura autoral individualizada.Todavia, à medida que as operações colaborativas vão aumentando, muitos sujeitos ativos no processo de trabalho são negligenciados socialmente contrariamente à influência que possuem em cada projeto, cujos nomes acabam por se perder no espetro do atelier de arquitetura em estudo.Tendo por base a análise deste aparelho que é o OMA*AMO em paralelo com outras disciplinas, marcado por uma atitude comparativa entre diferentes áreas do conhecimento, verifica-se que este se caracteriza principalmente, pela associação entre as vertentes aparentemente divergentes - teórica e prática - que fazem parte da estrutura do atelier, e que, como tal, acabam por estar na base estrutural deste trabalho. Assim, partindo de uma investigação social baseada no método de trabalho coletivo, e tendo como argumento que este tipo de prática é essencial para o crescimento do OMA*AMO, procura-se, nesta investigação, compreender as estratégias de atividade em equipa e possíveis influências que estão na base dos projetos realizados, percebendo de que forma estas relações colaborativas beneficiam reciprocamente as disciplinas enquanto ligações indispensáveis para o processo evolutivo do atelier - o que é que está por trás da ‘máquina’ e a põe a funcionar.

Considered as one of the most worldwide successful architecture offices of its generation, not only for its elaborate projects, but mainly for its ability to reach all cultural levels by making an intelligent interface between architecture and media, OMA * AMO distinguishes itself, largely due to its collective character, something that appears, at first glance, by the type of signature of the atelier that is a stamp and not an individualized authorial signature.However, as collaborative operations increase, many active subjects in the work process get socially neglected, in contrast to the influence they have on each project, and whose names end up being lost in the spectrum of the architecture studio under study.Based on the investigation of this device which is the OMA*AMO in parallel with other disciplines, marked by a comparative attitude between different areas of knowledge, it is verified that it is mainly characterized by the association between the apparently divergent aspects - theoretical and practical - which are part of the structure of the studio, and which, as such, end up being the structural basis of this essay.Therefore, starting from a social research based on the collective work method, and arguing that this type of practice is essential for the growth of OMA*AMO, this research seeks to understand the strategies of team activity and possible influences which are at the basis of the accomplished projects, realizing how these collaborative relationships mutually benefit the disciplines as indispensable links to the evolutionary process of the atelier - what is behind the ‘machine’ and puts it to work.
