Title: | Medicina regenerativa: uma visão geral no pós-enfarte do miocárdio | Authors: | Alves, Gabriel Artur Maia | Orientador: | Santos, Sónia Silva | Keywords: | Medicina regenerativa; Enfarte do miocárdio | Issue Date: | Jul-2015 | Place of publication or event: | Coimbra | Abstract: | Ao longo dos anos, assistimos a uma grande evolução das terapêuticas cardíacas
função global do tecido cardíaco.
Over the years we have seen a great evolution of cardiac cell therapies, starting from clinical trials in animals, where were obtained promising results, in the level of myocardial regeneration, achieving regain functionality and restore vascularization, until latest clinical trials in humans which, although modest, were also demonstrated improvements in the overall function of the cardiac tissue. Various types of cells were used in these studies and been administered mainly by intramyocardial and intracoronary infusion. The importance of the outcome measurement method and the need for monitoring of patients treated over the years are very important factors. The goal of future studies will be to move towards a standardization of the techniques involved in cell cardiac therapy, determining what type of cell is more effective while follow up time and number of patients per study are increased. This monograph aims to give an overview of cardiac cell therapy, presenting the results of many clinical trials as well as possible future therapeutic perspectives. |
