The phenomenon of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is currently presented as a relevant study object to think about how our cognition is constructed and distributed between humans and technologies, since AI will significantly modify the ways in which we produce and have access to the knowledge of the world, maintaining a controversial position on the boundaries between the human and the artificial. What is proposed in this work does not imply that AI serves as a model for studying cognitive functions, but that the study of its construction can be useful to describe how our cognitive ecology is socially constructed, where technologies as mediators will have as much responsibility as we humans in the construction of reality. With this purpose, a collaborative field work was developed with a computer programmer in order to monitor the sociotechnological activity of AI from its programming practice. Through the empirical knowledge acquired with the construction of the Neuronal Networks models for Artificial Vision, we seek to access the internal complexity of this technology, whose success and efficiency have made invisible the social work that is the origin of the AI phenomenon, such as the discourses on which it is based the proper functioning of its techniques. Through the anthropological study of this activity it is intended to offer the reader the possibility of observing the interior of the AI black boxes, the mediators that compose them and the type of links that occur between them. To this end, the study will focus on analyzing the neuromythological lexicon used during the IA programming to understand how we delegate intelligence to AI technologies and to the artifacts that incorporate them, delegating responsibilities to human and non-human mediators whose existence we are not aware of. The purpose of this study is to open the black box of this technology as a way of reducing the power of the individuals and institutions that generate the mediators needed to access the world's knowledge in our digital age, because the greater the success that technology achieves, the darker the internal complexity of the apparatus and the facts it offers, because we only notice its proper functioning, not the process and mediators that make it possible. Finally, is proposed an experimental practice that allows us to speculate on new ways of producing knowledge together with the cognitive paradigm of AI, and reflecting on the power that is implicit in the production of scientific and technical knowledge, in the sense of thinking about future alternatives to our cognitive ecology.
