. Dinis. To that end, it was necessary to evaluate of the advancement of justice in the Portuguese territory and the methods adopted by D. Dinis in the legislative framework. Moreover, we also found relevant to study the relationship between the monarch and the nobility, regarding the development of a policy for centralization of power as it allows us to understand the tensions, existing alliances and their consequences. With regard to violence, this study aims to understand what the circumstances were as well as the purposes of acts of violence themselves, their intermediaries and victims. The interception between the General Enquiries with the documentation from the royal chancellery and lawmaking gives us as an output narratives of violent practices mostly on collector officials of royal dues, quarrels and conflicts between linages in which the King intervenes, and the laws in which the King punishes the outlaws and those who dare to host them. . |
