Conceived and performed in the middle of a long career, the three Autos that Gil Vicente devoted to the Christian Salvation of the human soul are many times understood as an imperfect synthesis of this extensive work. In addiction of recognising of these three plays, the present study is mainly focused on a critical balance about the reception of the Barcas in a literary and theatrical level.
