The present dissertation is going to lean on the concept of movement through space in domestic environments within the Raumplan system of Adolf Loos. The structured progress of the subject is marked by moments of personal interpretation, where intuition is influenced by the architectural interplay of each environment. This theme leads me into a poetic interpretation analogous to the analysis of late romantic literature – a movement that had his presence felt in the fields of literature, poetry, philosophy and music, and which was witnessed by Adolf Loos. In this way I established a comparison in terms of the format and configuration of the work in order to understand the parts and extract the essence of the whole. Such intentions make clear the connection with the romantic legacy of architecture, in an attempt to transpose to the world and to the things the human spirit, fruit of his imagination and the contextualization of the object in the imaginated world. The interpretation has an important role in reading the work, maintaining the route as golden thread, which guides the mind through the space. Therefore, Loos, constructs an idea around which the entire project is developed, expressing through stage points and isolated moments that compose a descriptive sequence within a narrative. The narrative of life. A narrative between the interiority of domestic environments, derived from society and culture, which penetrate in our lives and transform our shelter, our personal refuge – the house. |
