médicos Objectives: To analyze the short-term impact of an informative intervention on doctors on the frequency and type of problems codification in ICPC-2 chapter Z. Type of study: A descriptive, qualitative, inferential, in two measurement points, with an informative speech in mean-time, with intended analytical study. Site: Norton de Matos, Penacova and Santa Clara Primary Health Centres. Population: Primary health centers’ doctors Methods: An informative intervention was performed on these doctors in November 2011, to inform them about the pre-intervention period results and to discuss the importance of the social problems codification. Encoding data on the reason for encounter (S-Subjective) and the diagnosis made by the doctor (A - Evaluation) both in frequency and type were obtained and analyzed the pre and post informative intervention variation using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The reaction to the informative intervention and discussion was different in each primary health center. There was an increase in the percentage of encoding of these problems in evaluation (A) on all primary health centers. In subjective (S) encoding, the percentage of encoding was lower than evaluation. In the type of codification in the chapter Z there is significant difference in evaluation, including a variation on the 6 most frequents type of Z codes. Discussion: There is positive impact on the frequency and type of Chapter Z encoding in post informative intervention period that is related to how the presentation/discussion was done. A-evaluation was revealed the highest increase was in the primary health center where the reaction to informative speech was better but there were not much discussion. The type of encoding variation was statistically significant in primary health centers where there was further discussion. Conclusions: There is positive short-term impact on the frequency and type in ICPC-2 chapter Z, the effect of an informative intervention on doctors. |
