Representações da masturbação na televisão e no cinema mainstream

Abstract

Partindo de uma revisão bibliográfica do corpo de pesquisa dedicado ao tema e de representações culturais recentes, este trabalho de investigação tenta perceber, entre outros aspectos, a forma como a masturbação é vista e representada actualmente no cinema e na televisão mainstream, e relacionar estas representações com a sua herança histórica, médica e também religiosa.

Taking a literary review of the body of knowledge devoted to the subject as a starting point, as well as recent cultural representations, this research tries to understand, among other things, how masturbation is seen and represented currently in mainstream film and television, and to relate these representations with its historical, medical and religious heritage.
