Relatório de estágio : mestrado em análises clínicas

Abstract

Com o presente relatório de estágio realizado, no âmbito do Mestrado em Análises Clínicas da Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade de Coimbra, nos Serviços de Patologia Clínica (SPC) do Hospital Sousa Martins – Unidade Local de Saúde (ULS) da Guarda e Centro Hospitalar Médio Tejo (CHMT) – Unidade Hospitalar de Tomar, pretende-se descrever todas as atividades desenvolvidas. Após uma breve introdução às instituições de acolhimento e descrição dos objetivos, será realizada a caracterização do SPC do CHMT, onde tive a oportunidade de colocar em prática, desenvolver e aprofundar, os saberes e conhecimentos adquiridos durante a frequência do mestrado. O Estágio englobou as diferentes áreas laboratoriais, nomeadamente a Hematologia, Microbiologia, Bioquímica e Imunologia. Em termos estruturais, será caracterizada a organização e funcionamento do Serviço, os equipamentos existentes e os princípios das metodologias utilizadas. Serão descritas com maior pormenor as atividades desenvolvidas e parâmetros analíticos executados nas áreas da Microbiologia e Imunologia. Será ainda descrito o controlo de qualidade realizado nestes setores, uma atividade que contribui para garantir que as determinações realizadas sejam credíveis e fiáveis.

With this internship report I intend to describe all the activities developed in the Clinical Pathology Services of Hospital Sousa Martins and Middle Tejo Hospital Center – Tomar Hospital, undertaken within the Masters in Clinical Analysis of Faculty of Pharmacy - University of Coimbra. After a brief introduction to the host institutions and description of the objectives, it will be performed the characterization of the Clinical Pathology Services of Middle Tejo Hospital Center – Tomar Hospital, where I had the opportunity to put into practice, develop and deepen the knowledge and skills acquired during the attendance of the master degree. Internship included the different laboratory areas, such as Hematology, Microbiology, Biochemistry and Immunology. Structurally, it will be characterized the organization and operation of the service, the existing equipment and the principles of the methodologies used. It will be described in greater detail the activities and analytical parameters performed in the areas of Microbiology and Immunology. It will also be described the quality control carried out in these areas, an activity that helps to ensure that the decisions made are credible and reliable.
