morte materna.
Considerada
Angola. Arterial hypertension in pregnancy is among the most frequent causes of maternal death. Among the types of arterial hypertension present in pregnancy, pre-eclampsia and gestational hypertension are the most common. Considered as a risk factor, individual characteristics, unfavorable socio-economics conditions as well as certain clinical antecedents can unchain maternal-fetal damages. The present study has as the general objective to study the family quality of life and satisfaction with life in a sample of Angolan pregnant women with and without arterial hypertension. The sample of this study was constituted by 100 pregnant women, 50 with a diagnosis of arterial hypertension and 50 without, residents in the municipal district of Lubango, province of Huíla (Angola). The assessment protocol involved a Socio-demographic Questionnaire, a Complementally Questionnaire (data concerning the pregnant women), the Quality of life (QOL) and the Satisfaction with the Life Scale (SWLS). The results pointed for statistical significant differences among the two samples, revealing that the pregnant women with hypertension present worse results regarding the family quality of life and satisfaction with life. It still adds that the pregnant women without hypertension have less abortion, less premature births comparing with pregnant women with hypertension. In this sense, the present study intends to represent a first step for the accomplishment of more studies in this field of chronic disease/illness in Angola. |
