Análise dos erros no teste de compreensão de instruções

Abstract

Na sequência dos trabalhos que têm vindo a ser desenvolvidos com a Bateria de Avaliação Neuropsicológica de Coimbra (BANC), pretendemos com este estudo, analisar os dados relativos ao Teste de Compreensão de Instruções (TCI), um teste elaborado para avaliar a linguagem receptiva. O objectivo do presente estudo centra-se na análise quantitativa e qualitativa dos erros cometidos pelas crianças neste teste, a fim de identificar padrões de erros, por um lado, bem como dificuldades específicas na compreensão de determinados conceitos linguísticos. A amostra é constituída por um total de 295 crianças, de três níveis etários (7, 8 e 9 anos), das quais 149 são do sexo masculino e 146 do sexo feminino. Os resultados demonstram que, de uma forma geral, os sujeitos com idades compreendidas entre os 7 e os 9 anos cometem um número reduzido de erros neste teste. Estes reportam-se a alguns locativos, a números ordinais, a conceitos de exclusão e inversão temporal, e a conjugações, e são objecto de uma análise psicolinguística.

Following the investigations that have been developed with the Coimbra s Neuropsychological Assessment Battery (BANC), with this study we intend to analyse the data from the Instruction Comprehension Test (TCI), a test designed to evaluate the receptive language. Our main purpose is based in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the errors made by children in this test, in order to identify error patterns, on one hand, as well as to identify specific difficulties in the comprehension of certain linguistic concepts. We used a sample of 295 children divided in three levels of age (7, 8, and 9 years old) being 149 male, and 146 female. Generally, results showed that subjects within 7 and 9 years old make a small number of errors in this test. The errors found were related to some spatial prepositions, ordinal numbers, exclusion and temporal inversion concepts, and conjunctions, and are object of a psycholinguistic analysis.
