Atitudes dos professores face à avaliação de escolas

Abstract

Tendo como ponto de partida a revisão da literatura sobre a escola, a cultura, o clima e as atitudes dos professores, assim como a avaliação das escolas no quadro das políticas educativas, as suas modalidades e a sua implementação, o presente estudo tem como objectivos conhecer o impacto e os efeitos desta atividade ao nível das atitudes dos professores. Para o efeito recorremos ao inquérito por questionário, tendo obtido a participa-ção de 204 docentes pertencentes ao Concelho da Figueira da Foz. Para a avaliação das atitudes foi utilizada uma escala de tipo Likert, constituída por 50 itens, em que se solicita simultaneamente a resposta em relação à Avaliação Externa e à Auto-Avaliação, tendo revelado uma boa consistência interna, pois o valor de α é de .97 para a Avaliação Externa Escolas e de .96 para a Auto-Avaliação de Esco-las, pelo que se conclui que apresenta uma boa fiabilidade. Os resultados revelaram que os professores sustentam uma atitude mais favorá-vel no que diz respeito à Auto-Avaliação comparativamente à Avaliação Externa, sendo esta difereça estatisticamente significativa. Verifica-se igualmente que quanto maior é a informação e o envolvimento nestas modalidades de Avaliação de Escolas mais favorável é a atitude dos docentes, não se tendo registado contudo diferenças significativas em relação ao exercício de cargos.

Taking the revision of the literature as a starting point on the school, the culture, the climate and the attitudes of the teachers, as well as the evaluation of the schools in the picture of educational policies the impact and the effects of this activity at the level of attitudes of the teachers. Thus, we resort to the inquiry for questionnaire, obtaining the participation of 204 teachers pertaining to the council of Figueira da Foz. For the atitudes evaluation, it was used a Likert type scale composed of 50 itens, in wich, inquirees are asked simultaniously about External Evaluation, and Auto-Evaluation. The results revealed a good internal consistency, with a α value of 0.97 for the External Evaluation, and 0.96 for the Auto Evaluation of schools, presenting a good fiability. We note that teachers support a favorable attitude in what concerns to the Auto-evaluation comparatively to the Extern Evaluation, difference that was revealed statistically significant. Equally, the bigger the perception of information and involvement in these kinds of more favorable Evaluation of Schools, the bigger is the attitude of the teachers, without having registered nevertheless significant differences regarding the posts exercise.
