A língua: assimilação e resistência. O caso da Lusitânia romana

Abstract

Procura mostrar-se como, na Lusitânia romana, a língua foi indispensável elemento da aculturação entre o Romano invasor e os indígenas residentes. A prévia menção a casos da actualidade insere-se na ideia de que, para melhor compreender o Passado, o historiador deve saber olhar para o presente a fim de saber retirar dele as necessárias ilações. Afinal, a natureza humana manteve-se praticamente imutável.
