A Valorização e o Desenvolvimento dos Territórios do Interior de Portugal: Estudo de caso no Município de Sernancelhe com base nos stakeholders

Abstract

This internship report has the fundamental objective of understanding the importance of the public sector and all its progress and development over the last few years. It is important to understand the trajectory of Local Authorities, and all their evolution, as well as other public organizations, realizing what their main competences are. It is also essential, with all the bibliographic review carried out, to understand the reason for the continuous devaluation of the interior regions, being essential that new solutions are found for an innovative development in order to attract and retain more citizens in this type of territories.The approach followed in this research consists of a qualitative methodology through semi-structured interviews. Data collection was carried out during the month of May 2023 at Sernancelhe City Council. 10 interviews were collected with employees of the Municipality, 5 of them female and 5 male, of which with superior functions, of leadership, members of executive and administrative bodies. The collected data were duly analyzed and categorized in order to demonstrate their relevance to the subject studied.Additionally, given the scarcity of research and investigations related to this theme – valuing the interior – this research intends to cooperate, in some way, so that significant studies are carried out on this subject in order to mitigate the adversities felt in these regions, sometimes omitted.....................................................

O presente relatório de estágio tem como objetivo fundamental entender a importância do setor público e de todo o seu progresso e desenvolvimento ao longo dos últimos anos. É relevante compreender o percurso das Autarquias Locais, e de toda a sua evolução, bem como das demais organizações públicas percebendo quais as principais competências que dispõem. É igualmente essencial, com toda a revisão bibliográfica realizada, perceber o motivo da contínua desvalorização das regiões do interior, sendo primordial que sejam encontradas novas soluções para um desenvolvimento inovador de modo a conseguir atrair e reter mais cidadãos neste tipo de territórios. A abordagem seguida nesta pesquisa consiste numa metodologia qualitativa através da realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas. A recolha de dados foi realizada durante o mês de maio de 2023 na Câmara Municipal de Sernancelhe. Foram recolhidas 10 entrevistas a funcionários do Município, 5 deles do sexo feminino e 5 do sexo masculino, dos quais com funções superiores, de chefia, membros de órgãos executivos e administrativas. Os dados recolhidos foram devidamente analisados e categorizados de maneira a demonstrar a relevância destes com a temática estudada. Supletivamente, dada a escassez de pesquisas e investigações relativas a esta temática – valorização do interior – esta pesquisa pretende cooperar, de alguma forma, para que sejam feitos estudos significativos acerca deste assunto de maneira a mitigar as adversidades sentidas nestas regiões, por vezes, omitidas.
