The investigation on the insertion of brazilians into the labour market, within the Central Region of Portugal, is a benefit in the way of thinking about the international migration geography of this country. The principal objective of this research is to investigate the causes of the brazilian emigration; the reason of the Central Region of Portugal being chosen and how the brazilian workers have been inserted into the labour market. The counties of Aveiro, Coimbra and Leiria were adopted as a geographic area of study. The comprehension of this territorial mobility has one component in the place itself and another in the world. The global issues interfere directly in the local region that, by its turn, reflects itself in the world. The highlights of this investigation were: the geographic journeys of the brazilian workers; who they are; how they arrived; what is their academic degree; how they insert themselves into the labour market within the analyzed counties; how they notice Brazil and the choice of the Central Region of Portugal as a place of working and living. Meanwhile the concepts of migration, globalization and labour market were developed; supportive elements were searched to analyze the migration geography into the specific field of social geography. Therefore, it was necessary a connection with the international migration theories overall focusing on the New International Division of Labour and the Migratory Systems. The inquiry results and the Brazilian statements were analyzed and dissolved along the text. Through the empiric research, it was possible to identify that the Central-South Brazilian region is the geographic origin of the majority of the inquired people. The research identified that the main motivation to undertake an international migration heading towards Portugal was not only an economic one, but it also contains subjective elements, which means, the willingness to know and experiment other realities. The majority of the inquired brazilian workers is aware of: the origin of the social problems inside the country, of the immigrant labor force exploitation in Portugal and also of the intense work rhythm associated to low payments; even though they emphasize their choice rather to Portugal than Brazil. The number of Brazilian women that undertakes the international migration heading towards Portugal has increased significantly. The social network involving relatives and friends in the welcoming place; the lack of perspective in Brazil; the mind map of Portugal and Europe and also the social icons about the international migration represent a mobility force of the Brazilian workers heading towards Central Region of Portugal.
