Se há brasileiros cá, há cerveja ó pá! A influência da migração brasileira na cultura da cerveja artesanal em Portugal.

Abstract

Este trabalho procura questionar qual a influência da recente imigração brasileira nas mudanças culturais no âmbito da cerveja artesanal em Portugal. A bebida que chegou ao Brasil trazida pela família real portuguesa em 1808, hoje retorna à pátria mãe, através de imigrantes brasileiros que se aventuram, nas mais variadas atividades ligadas ao mercado das cervejas artesanais, fomentando a sua comercialização, distribuição, produção e ou divulgação, influenciando, assim, o estabelecimento da cultura (ou de uma nova cultura) cervejeira em Portugal. Com base no crescimento do mercado brasileiro de cerveja artesanal, este projeto propõe uma leitura sociológica deste fomento de uma cultura específica, por parte dos imigrantes brasileiros em Portugal. Qual a contribuição da imigração brasileira para a cultura cervejeira artesanal e quais os contornos dessa contribuição são os objetivos maiores desta investigação. Os brasileiros que resolveram migrar para Portugal nestes últimos anos, e, de alguma forma, engendrar um universo que envolve a cultura cervejeira, observaram o notório cenário daquele país, onde o mercado atingiu um crescimento fantástico em muito pouco tempo. Desta maneira, este estudo pretende apurar as nuances e possíveis tendências de um mercado ainda não pesquisado, para elucidar o futuro da cerveja artesanal em Portugal, desvendando porque os brasileiros resolveram migrar para este país e investir neste produto. Em um apanhado geral acerca da temática a ser investigada, apresenta-se a proposta de um olhar mais aprofundado e específico à nova onda migratória de brasileiros para Portugal, onde tais personagens possuem uma certa especificidade, algo em comum, pois de alguma forma, estão propagando a cultura cervejeira, através da cerveja artesanal, neste país.

This work questions the influence of the recent Brazilian immigration on cultural changes in the field of artisanal or craft beer in Portugal. The drink that arrived in Brazil brought by the Portuguese royal family in 1808, returns nowadays to the motherland, through Brazilian immigrants who venture into the most varied activities related to the market of craft beer, promoting its marketing, distribution, production and or dissemination, modifying the establishment of the culture (or a new culture) of brewery in Portugal. Based on the growth of the Brazilian market for craft beer, this project proposes a sociological reading of this promotion of a specific culture by Brazilian immigrants in Portugal. What is the contribution of Brazilian immigration to the brewing culture and what are the outlines of this contribution are the major objectives of this research. The Brazilians who decided to migrate to Portugal in the last few years, and, somehow, engender a universe that involves the beer culture, observed the notorious scenario of that country, where the market reached fantastic growth in a very short time. In this way, this study intends to investigate the nuances and possible trends of a market that has not yet been researched, to elucidate the future of craft beer in Portugal, unveiling why Brazilians decided to migrate to this country and invest in this product. In a general overview about the theme to be investigated, it is presented a proposal for a more in-depth and specific look at the new migratory wave of Brazilians to Portugal, where these characters have a certain specificity, something in common, because in some way, they are propagating the brewing culture, through craft beer, in this country.
