Alucinação e virtualidade: elementos de uma materialidade artística em Henri Michaux

Abstract

O presente trabalho Alucinação e Virtualidade: Elementos de uma materialidade artística em Henri Michaux apresenta como plano de investigação um estudo avançado sobre a materialidade da escrita e da imagem na obra de Henri Michaux, sua fenomenologia e performance literária. Neste cenário, a pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar o que se entende por experiência alucinógena e a capacidade desta vivência para servir de modelo à criação artística, mas também as relações desta experiência com a imagem e a escrita. A tese buscou explorar como a criação estética com o uso da mescalina em Michaux sustenta a ideia de um território virtual alucinógeno, ou espaço de infinitos turbulentos, produtor de uma própria economia linguística. Este trabalho baseou-se em uma série de teorias culturais, visuais, artísticas e literárias que descrevem a experiência alucinógena e argumentam sobre a importância de congregar o texto e a imagem como elementos inextricavelmente imbricados no processo de criação estética. Para o efeito, a textualidade objetivada na execução da tese importa e envolve mais do que articulações linguísticas e enunciativas, atos de fala ou símbolos de apresentação. O trabalho entende que a reunião de tais articulações com desenhos e imagens ajudam a ampliar o quadro intelectual sobre questões do virtual na literatura, além de terem um papel constitutivo entre a fronteira da criação artística e literária. Por este motivo, o trabalho buscou defender a ideia de uma mescaligrafia como conceito primordial para a compreensão do trabalho do artista.

The present work Hallucination and Virtuality: Elements of artistic materiality in Henri Michaux presents as an investigation plan an advanced study on the materiality of writing and image in the work of Henri Michaux, its phenomenology, and literary performance. In this scenario, the research aimed to analyze what is meant by hallucinogenic experience and the ability of this experience to serve as a model for artistic creation and the relationship of this experience with image and writing. The thesis sought to explore how aesthetic creation using mescaline in Michaux supports the idea of a hallucinogenic virtual territory, or space of turbulent infinities, producer of a linguistic economy itself. This work was based on a series of cultural, visual, artistic, and literary theories that describe the hallucinogenic experience and argue about the importance of bringing together text and image as elements inextricably intertwined in the process of aesthetic creation. To this end, the textuality aimed at executing the thesis matters and involves more than linguistic and enunciative articulations, speech acts, or symbols of presentation. The work understands that the combination of such articulations with drawings and images helps broaden the intellectual framework on virtual issues in literature and has a constitutive role between the frontier of artistic and literary creation. For this reason, the work sought to defend the idea of mescaligraphy as a primordial concept for understanding the artist's work.
