Vomitando lava. O Ensino do Sistema Digestivo no Ensino Básico e do Vulcanismo Primário no Ensino Secundário

Abstract

Este relatório insere-se no âmbito da unidade curricular de Estágio Pedagógico e Relatório, do segundo ano do Mestrado em Ensino de Biologia e Geologia no 3º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário, da Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade de Coimbra. Com ele, pretendo descrever e discutir as atividades desenvolvidas durante o estágio pedagógico que frequentei no ano letivo 2020/2021, na Escola Secundária D. Duarte, em Coimbra, analisando-as de acordo com os resultados de aprendizagem obtidos. Apresentam-se, também, os fundamentos teóricos de Biologia e Geologia, relacionados com os temas lecionados durante as práticas letivas. No 9º ano foi lecionada a Biologia com o tema o “Sistema digestivo” e no 10º ano lecionou-se a Geologia com o tema “Vulcanismo primário”. Foi neste estágio que ocorreu, pela primeira vez, o meu contato direto com a prática docente e a lecionação formal do ensino das ciências. Durante a sua realização foram desenvolvidos diversos recursos didáticos e aplicadas estratégias de ensino adequadas às turmas em questão, promovendo uma maior eficácia no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. No decorrer do estágio, foi também aplicado um pré e pós teste diagnóstico a ambas as turmas, e um relatório “V de Gowin” no 10º ano. Os resultados conseguidos nestes, demonstraram uma evolução positiva nos conhecimentos dos estudantes das duas turmas, indicando que as práticas letivas terão sido apropriadas em ambas as situações e que terão contribuído para melhorar o desenvolvimento de competências nos estudantes.

This account is part of the curricular unit of the Pedagogical Internship and Report included in the second year of the Teaching Master’s in Biology and Geology for Lower Secondary and Secondary Students from the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade de Coimbra. With it, I intend to describe and discuss the activities that have been developed during the pedagogical internship that I attended in 2020/2021 at Escola Secundária D. Duarte in Coimbra, analysing them according to the learning results obtained. The theoretical fundamentals of Biology and Geology are also presented, related to the themes taught during the teaching practices. In 9th year, I taught the Digestive system in Biology classes and in 10th year, the theme was “Primary Volcanism” in Geology classes. It was during this training that I first came into direct contact with teaching practice and formal science teaching. Throughout this internship, several teaching resources were developed and appropriate teaching strategies were applied to the classes in question, promoting a more efficient teaching and learning process. During the internship, a pre and post diagnostic test was also applied to both classes, and a "Gowin's V" report in Year 10. The results showed a positive evolution in the knowledge of the students in both classes, indicating that the teaching practices were appropriate in both situations and have contributed to improve the development of skills in students.Keywords:Sciences Teaching;teaching and learning;pedagogical training;Digestive System;Primary Volcanism
