Its prevalence is approximately 3.89 / 1000 in children and 0.88 / 1000 in adults, and these values may be underestimated due to the existence of asymptomatic cases, therefore, not identified. Many of these malformations resolve naturally in the first years of life. However, there are more serious forms that require therapeutic intervention. In these cases, an appropriate and timely approach may have a positive impact on the resolution of the pathology and / or on the improvement of the various associated comorbidities, thus improving the living conditions of a significant number of people worldwide.Congenital Malformations of the Interauricular Septum have an incidence of morbidity that rarely give symptoms in childhood, but with a marked worsening in adulthood.
