Análise cinemática do lançamento em suspensão do basquetebol em função da distância ao cesto: comparação entre jogadores experientes e não experientes.

Abstract

O lançamento em suspensão é uma das técnicas de lançamento mais utilizadas pelos jogadores num jogo de basquetebol. As variáveis cinemáticas que mais influenciam o sucesso do lançamento em suspensão são a altura, a velocidade e o ângulo de saída da bola. Uma vez que estas variáveis cinemáticas são dependentes da distância de lançamento, o jogador tem de ser capaz de modificar a sua técnica em função da posição do campo em que faz o lançamento. Este estudo procura determinar as diferenças nas variáveis, altura, velocidade e ângulo de saída da bola em função do aumento da distância de lançamento. O estudo procura também perceber como jogadores de diferentes níveis de experiência resolvem tecnicamente a realização do lançamento em suspensão a diferentes distâncias do cesto.Participaram neste estudo um total de 14 indivíduos do sexo masculino formando dois grupos, experientes (N = 9) e não experientes (N = 5). Foram analisados 3 lançamentos concretizados com sucesso de cada jogador em duas distâncias de lançamento correspondendo à linha de Lance Livre (4,23 m) e à linha dos 3-Pontos (6,75 m). A recolha dos dados foi realizada através de captação de vídeo (120 Hz) do plano sagital do lançamento. A digitalização do vídeo foi realizada no software Tracker e foram calculados os valores das variáveis cinemáticas estudadas. Os resultados permitiram compreender que os jogadores experientes apresentam valores de altura de saída da bola superiores, quando comparados com os jogadores não experientes, o que lhes permite lançar a bola com um maior ângulo de saída da bola e com menor velocidade de saída da bola, realizando desta forma um lançamento com maior estabilidade. Com o aumento da distância verifica-se uma diminuição da altura e do ângulo de saída da bola, associada a um aumento da velocidade de saída da bola. Quando comparado com os não experientes, estes apresentam alterações semelhantes das variáveis cinemáticas, contudo em diferentes magnitudes. Os resultados sugerem que, relativamente às variáveis em estudo, os jogadores experientes alteraram o lançamento para acomodar a diferença de distância ao cesto, e que quando comparados com os não experientes, as diferenças sugerem que terão tendencialmente maior sucesso.

Basketball jump shot is the shooting technique players use the most in a game of basketball. The kinematic variables that contribute the most to the success of the jump shot are height, velocity and angle of ball release. Considering that the shooting distance has an impact on the kinematics variables, height, velocity and angle of ball release, the player needs to adjust his technique depending on where in the court he is shooting from. The objective of this study is to identify how increases in shooting distance reflect upon these kinematic variables: height, velocity and angle of ball release. This study also aims to understand how players with varying skill levels adapt their technique to perform a jump shot in different shooting distances.The participants of this study were fourteen male subjects, divided into experienced (N = 9), and non-experienced (N = 5) players. Each subject performed three successful jump shots from the Free-throw line (4,23 m) and three successful jump shots from the Three-point line (6,75 m). The data was obtained through video recording (120Hz) of the sagittal plane of movement. Data was then exported using the Tracker software, which allowed for calculation of the kinematic variables.The results lead us to understand that experienced players present with higher mean values of height of ball release, when compared to non-experienced players. The higher height of ball release allows for a higher angle of ball release and lower velocity of ball release and more stable shooting. An increase in shooting distance shows a decrease in release height and in angle of ball release and shows an increase in velocity of ball release. When compared with the non-experienced, they present similar changes in the kinematic variables, however in different magnitudes. The results suggest that, in relation to the variables under study, the experienced players changed the throw to accommodate the difference in distance to the basket, and that when compared to the non-experienced, the differences suggest that they will tend to be more successful.
