Universidades Seniores: educar para e com o envelhecimento ativo e saudável

Abstract

O Plano de Estudos do Mestrado em Ciências da Educação da Faculdade de Psicologia Ciências da Educação da Universidade de Coimbra pressupõe que no 2º ano deste ciclo os alunos e alunas realizem um ano letivo de estágio curricular. Este estágio decorreu na Associação Apojovi-Aposenior, pois integra a Educação e Formação de Adultos e a Educação Social, inseridas nas perspetivas da educação intergeracional e ao longo da vida. O presente relatório reflete o ano de estágio curricular que oficialmente teve início a 16 de setembro de 2018 e findou a 31 de maio de 2019, tendo sido ainda continuadas algumas atividades após esta data. Este tempo foi, maioritariamente, focado na vertente da Universidade Sénior, onde integrámos uma equipa multidisciplinar. O propósito principal desta equipa é valorizar as pessoas, independentemente da sua idade, desvelando a riqueza e unicidade de cada uma, ao mesmo tempo que se fortalecem as relações interpessoais. O presente documento encontra-se dividido em quatro capítulos, os quais espelham o empenho e trabalho realizados ao longo de todo o ano letivo. O primeiro capítulo diz respeito ao Enquadramento teórico que, como o nome indica, se traduz numa breve explicação dos conceitos e teorias subjacentes a área do saber em questão e às problemáticas de incidência das atividades. De entre os conceitos abordados salientamos os seguintes: envelhecimento; velhice; aprendizagem ao longo da vida; e gerontologia educativa. No segundo capítulo - Caracterização da instituição - damos a conhecer a Associação Apojovi. Mencionamos a época em que surgiu e quais as principais preocupações da equipa que a idealizou, bem como todas as oportunidades que apresenta e os projetos que fazem parte do seu dia a dia. O terceiro capítulo - Projeto e atividades de estágio - descreve as diversas atividades e dinâmicas que fomos realizando, subordinadas a diversos objetivos gerais, decompostos em objetivos específicos e operacionais. Os objetivos gerais que guiaram a nossa intervenção na instituição foram seis, a saber: dominar rotinas/procedimentos/dinâmicas da instituição, apoiando o bom funcionamento da mesma; desenvolver competências de literacia informática nos/as seniores, estimulando paralelamente a psicomotricidade finas destes/as; participar nas aulas da Oficina Positiva(mente); participar nas dinâmicas de funcionamento da vertente da Apojovi; contribuir para que o projeto Mil e Um Fios alcance os objetivos pretendidos; e, por último, propor e concretizar um projeto de investigação no âmbito das Ciências da Educação relevante para a Apojovi-Aposenior. Enumerados os objetivos, este terceiro capítulo apresenta a descrição das atividades que ilustram cada um, avaliando também, reflexivamente, a nossa prestação. No quarto capítulo do relatório, avaliamos de modo global a nossa intervenção. Assim, este capítulo consiste na Avaliação que se desdobra nas seguintes duas componentes: autoavaliação e heteroavaliação. Para finalizar o relatório, tecemos as Considerações finais e apresentamos os apêndices que ilustram como decorreram as dinâmicas correspondentes aos diferentes objetivos.

The master's degree in Education Sciences of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra presupposes that in the second year of this cycle, students perform a school year of curricular internship. This internship took place at the Apojovi-Aposenior Association, as it integrates Adult Education and Training and Social Education, inserted in the perspectives of intergenerational and lifelong education. This report reflects the year of internship which officially began on 16 September 2018 and ended on 31 May 2019, and some activities were continued after that date. This time was mostly focused on the Senior University, where we integrated a multidisciplinary team. The main purpose of this team is to value people, regardless of their age, unveiling their wealth and uniqueness, while strengthening interpersonal relationships. This document is divided into four chapters, which reflect the commitment and work done throughout the school year. The first chapter deals with the theoretical framework which, as the name implies, translates into a brief explanation of the concepts and theories underlying the area of ​​knowledge in question and the problems of incidence of activities. Among the concepts covered we highlight the following: aging; old age; lifelong learning; and educational gerontology. In the second chapter - Characterization of the institution - we make known the Apojovi Association. We mention the time when it came about and what are the main concerns of the team that devised it, as well as all the opportunities it presents and the projects that are part of their daily lives. The third chapter - Design and Internship Activities - describes the various activities and dynamics that we have been carrying out, subordinated to various general objectives, broken down into specific and operational objectives. The general objectives that guided our intervention in the institution were six, namely: mastering the institution's routines / procedures / dynamics, supporting its proper functioning; develop computer literacy skills in seniors, while stimulating their fine psychomotor skills; participate in Positive Workshop classes (mind); participate in the operating dynamics of the Apojovi side; contribute to the Thousand One Yarn project to achieve its intended objectives; and, finally, to propose and implement a research project in the field of Educational Sciences relevant to Apojovi-Aposenior. Listed the objectives, this third chapter presents the description of the activities that illustrate each one, also reflexively evaluating our performance. In the fourth chapter of the report, we assessed our intervention overall. Thus, this chapter consists of the Evaluation that unfolds into the following two components: self-assessment and hetero-assessment. To finalize the report, we weave the Final Considerations and present the appendices that illustrate how the dynamics corresponding to the different objectives took place.
