Coexistência Religiosa em Campos de Refugiados - Estudo de Caso do Centro de Acolhimento de Requerentes de Asilo (Bari-Palese)

Abstract

Esta dissertação tem como objetivo compreender a forma como as religiões e a fé desenvolvem estratégias para uma coexistência pacífica num campo de refugiados após uma sequência constante de novos desafios e de períodos de maior tribulação e adversidade. Esta investigação terá como pano de fundo o Centro de Acolhimento de Requerentes de Asilo de Bari-Palese através da observação sociológica e etnográfica no território durante sensivelmente dois meses em 2016, a análise de documentos e entrevistas sobre esta instituição e também o contributo de algumas presenças regulares no campo, nomeadamente um sacerdote e o coordenador dos mediadores linguísticos e interculturais. O corpo teórico é sustentado por contributos antropológicos e sociológicos, abordando uma análise histórica das religiões no seu contributo para a construção da paz. Este trabalho também será apoiado através do olhar antropológico e etnográfico de Michel Agier em diversos campos de refugiados. Terá em consideração a compreensão da tribulação e dor do antropólogo David Le Breton, a construção social da realidade dos sociólogos Peter Berger e Thomas Luckmann, e o desenho da imaginação moral de J.P. Lederach que aproxima o observador a uma realidade mais intimista na transformação de conflitos. A pertinência deste trabalho tem por base compreender o modo como a solidariedade na tribulação impulsiona uma coexistência pacífica através da religião entre crentes de culturas e religiões diferentes, podendo ser uma ferramenta útil em contextos de diversidade cultural e religiosa com tensões existentes.

This dissertation aims to understand how religions and faith develop strategies for peaceful coexistence in a refugee camp after a constant sequence of new challenges and periods of greater tribulation and adversity. This investigation will have as a backdrop the Bari-Palese Reception Center for Asylum Seekers through sociologic and ethnographic observation in the territory for approximately two months in 2016, the analysis of documents and interviews about this institution and also the contribution of some regular presences in the field, including a priest and the coordinator of linguistic and intercultural mediators of the center. The theoretical body is supported by anthropological and sociological contributions, addressing a historical analysis of religions in their contribution to peacebuilding. This work will also be supported through the Michel Agier's anthropologist and ethnographic look at various refugee camps. It will take into account the understanding of David Le Breton's understanding of the tribulation and pain, the social construction of the reality of thes sociologists Peter Berger and Thomas Luckmann and the drawing of J.P. Lederach's moral imagination, that brings the observer closer to a more intimate reality in the transformation of conflicts. The relevance of this work is based on understanding how solidarity in the tribulation drives peaceful coexistence through religion among believers from different cultures and religions, and can be a useful tool in contexts of cultural and religious diversity with existing tensions.
