Existem Comportamentos de Risco: A Intervenção de Proximidade em Públicos Vulneráveis

Abstract

Neste relatório pretende-se expor o trabalho desenvolvido na AssociaçãoExistências durante o ano letivo 2019-2020. Nesse período realizou-se intervenção emdiferentes áreas, designadamente: VIH, saúde sexual e reprodutiva e dependências,essencialmente junto de públicos vulneráveis. Esta intervenção foi realizada no âmbitode ação do Projeto Adão e Eva II, do Projeto Etapas Positivas, do Projeto Nov’Ellos, doProjeto Afetos e do Projeto Acolher.Perante a diversidade e especificidade dos comportamentos de riscos dosdiferentes públicos-alvo a intervenção de proximidade foi a abordagem privilegiada parao contacto direto com os beneficiários das ações e projetos da Associação Existências.Exploraram-se diferentes temáticas e tipologias de intervenção, desde as preventivas àredução de riscos e minimização de danos.Este relatório finaliza com a apresentação de um estudo que teve como objetivoanalisar os conhecimentos e atitudes em relação ao VIH/Sida e ao uso do preservativo nacomunidade académica da Universidade de Coimbra. Neste estudo comparam-se osconhecimentos e as atitudes de três grupos de participantes: os que participaramvoluntariamente num rastreio a Infeções Sexualmente Transmissíveis e responderampresencialmente ao protocolo de investigação, os que responderam online e nuncaparticiparam num rastreio de IST e ainda os que responderam online e já fizeram rastreionoutra circunstância de vida. Verificou-se não existirem diferenças entre os grupos noque diz respeito aos conhecimentos sobre a infeção VIH/SIDA e que o grupo dosinquiridos que responderam online e nunca realizaram rastreio em algum momento davida são quem demonstra atitudes mais favoráveis em relação ao uso do preservativo.Ao longo do presente relatório é possível notar as atividades de intervenção,investigação, entre outras realizadas ao longo do período de estágio. Tendo a umadeterminada altura investido maioritariamente na conceptualização das atividades deinvestigação, devido ao Estado de Emergência consequência da Pandemia Covid-19.

This report intends to state the research work outcome developed at "Associação Existências" throughout the academic year 2019-2020. Within this period of time, several interventions were carried out in different areas, namely: HIV, sexual and reproductive health and drug addiction, closely developed with vulnerable communities within the scope of “Adão e Eva II Project”, “Etapas Positivas Project”, Nov’Ellos Project”, “Afetos Project” and "Acolher Project".In view of the diversity and specificity of the risk-taking behaviors held by the different addressees, the proximity intervention was the main approach used in the direct contact with the beneficiaries of Associação Existências. Various types of interventions were carried away, from preventive, to risk reduction and damage minimizationThe report ends up showing a study that aimed to analyze the knowledge and attitudes towards HIV/AIDS related to condom use by the academic community of the University of Coimbra. The survey aimed to assess knowledge and attitudes of three different groups of respondents: those who volunteered to screen sexually transmitted infections replying in person to the investigation protocol; those that replied online without any IST trackingand, likewise, those that replied online and previously tracked due to any other occurrences. It was found that all groups share the same knowledge about HIV/AIDS and, also finds out that the last group showed sensible attitudes towards condom use.Throughout this study, it is possible to observe intervention and investigation activities, among others carried out during the internship period. At a certain point, the guidance mainly focused on the conceptualization of research activities, due to the State of Emergency because of Pandemic Covid-19.
