This internship report is part of the curricular unit "Internship and Final Report" of the Master's Degree in Philosophy Teaching at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra. The aim of this report is to explore the possibility of teaching philosophy through the use of poetry. Thus, after a presentation of the educational context, the place of sensibility in the teaching of philosophy will be thought out and three types of poems will be identified. Musical poems, poems that convey mystery and essentially metaphorical poems. These three types of poems will have very different didactic applications. The musical poems will be the didactic resource par excellence regarding awareness to a certain philosophical theme and the poems that seek to express the unspeakable, beyond providing awareness, will have the advantage of assuming an active role in the problematization phase. Based on the theory of conceptual metaphors of Geroge Lakoff and Mark Johnson, the importance of metaphorical approximation exercises in a conceptualization phase will be reinforced. Thus, poetry would be relevant to the teaching of philosophy at the level of awareness, problematization and conceptualization. Finally, three lesson plans will be presented that use poetry as a didactic resource. In the first class, the example of a poem regarding awareness to the formal character of logic will be given. In the second class a poem will be used regarding its conceptual approach. And in the third lesson, there will be the example of a poem that would have simultaneously the role of awareness and problematization because it would be able to express the unspeakability of evil.
