Information represents a central resource in any business and the way it is managed has an unquestionable power in the success of a company. Due to this, it is essential to discuss how the enterprise architecture can contribute to an ideal information systems planning and adequate to the context and needs of a company, so that it can be studied and implemented without the company interrupting certain functions. Therefore, the main objective of this dissertation is related to the development of a web application to support the business architecture planning method called Business Systems Planning, because it is an effective method, it can be applied without the company spending too much time in this process and because there is no product like this, in a public way, on the market. To achieve this goal, this dissertation exposes the state of the art, which covers the main concepts and frameworks that preceded BSP, the entire process of project management, requirements analysis and software architecture. In addition, it integrates all the relevant details about the implementation of the web application, as well as its testing and demonstration using the software with a case study. At the end of the project, the importance that the knowledge of information architecture represents for the organization and to obtaining successful results in the application of this planning method became quite evident, being possible to affirm that the power of this work element is structuring for the development of the IS. It was also proven that the use of the software developed in a more realistic context will allow a faster and clearer notion of the company’s IS and the way they are organized, facilitating the reform and implementation of new applications that better satisfy the needs of the business, preventing certain typical errors in the application of the BSP method and speeding up the whole process.eng
