Projeto para a Oficina do Têxtil Gouveense. A pertinência da Ecoeficiência na revitalização das Paisagens Pós-Industriais.

Abstract

A dissertação apresentada nasce do desafio prático de reinventar a pequena cidade industrial de Gouveia em contexto académico no âmbito da disciplina de Atelier de Projeto IIC. Contexto espacial este que juntamento com o projeto urbano desenvolvido coletivamente enquadram fisicamente o exercício individual. O processo de exploração do desenho é auxiliado pelo estudo do contexto físico e ideológico de temáticas complementares com a realidade local que partem da importância que a indústria dos lanifícios detém na cultura de Gouveia e se preocupam com a intervenção em paisagens pós-industriais. Confrontar-se-á a cidade a intervir com a Covilhã e analisar-se-á um pouco da obra e do pensamento de Peter Latz relativamente à forma de abordar a estes espaços degradados. Este delineamento estrutural, que procura conhecer a visão relativa à indústria, justapõe-se à vontade de conceptualizar uma arquitectura ecoeficiente como temática que se prende com o ideal de materializar as intensões da arquitetura e da própria sociedade mundial. O processo de investigação refletir-se-á na abordagem projetual, tanto ao nível da turma como individual, como sustento teórico das decisões tomadas no desenho e, por consequência, da linguagem formal que o objeto urbano e arquitetónico assumirá. Desta forma, o projeto para a Oficina do Têxtil Gouveense pretende representar uma consciencialização da inquestionável relevância da investigação no processo conceptual da arquitetura.

The present Dissertation is born in the practical challenge of reinventing the small industrial city of Gouveia, Portugal, in academic context at the class of Atelier de Projeto IIC. This context and the colective urban project developed frame physically the individual exercise. The exploration process of the design is helped by the study of the physical and ideologic context of complementary thematics with the local reality that start in the importance of the wool industry in the culture of Gouveia and care about the intervention in post-industrial landscapes. The city will be confronted with Covilhã and a little of the work and thought of Peter Latz will be analyzed as to how to approach these degraded spaces. This structural design, which seeks to know the vision related to industry, juxtaposes with the will to conceptualize an eco-efficient architecture as thematic that is linked to the ideal of materializing the intentions of architecture and world society itself. The research process will be reflected in the design approach, both at the level of the class and individual, as theoretical support of the decisions taken in the drawing and, consequently, of the formal language that the urban and architectural object will assume. In this way, the project for the Oficina do Têxtil Gouveense intends to create awareness for the unquestionable need of investigation in the conceptual architectural process.
