Condeixa-a-Nova frui da sua localização na região do Centro de Portugal, tal como no seu passado, Conimbriga beneficiou da sua posição central no território da Lusitânia. dc.description.abstract | Condeixa-a-Nova enjoys an advantageous location that comes from the central position of the urban settlement in the territory of Lusitania that originated it: Conimbriga. Traces of human occupation of this territory are known since the 9th century BC and there have been several transformations in its territory since then, from the establishment of the oppidum to the settlement in the North Valley, from the birth of a new Condeixa to the present. As a consequence of this development, several impacts associated with urban sprawl and the construction of new roads contributed to the segregation of various areas of the Condeixa urban system. To address these weaknesses, the strategy tested in this dissertation proposes an architectural intervention based on culture as a pillar of sustainable development, with positive effects on economic, social development and environmental preservation. To value the unique archaeological heritage present in this territory, the proposal advocates the creation of a Center for Research in Archeology, a piece of equipment is an integral part of a global strategy whose main objective is to strengthen the urban cohesion of the urban system of Condeixa.
