A farmácia de oficina no virar do século XX para o século XXI: continuidades e mudanças

Abstract

O plano de estudos do Mestrado Integrado em Ciências Farmacêuticas (MICF) fornece, ao longo de cinco anos académicos, uma bagagem multidisciplinar que pretende abranger todas as possíveis áreas de atuação do farmacêutico. A etapa final do MICF é constituída pelo estágio e monografia integrados na Unidade Curricular “Estágio”. O presente documento inclui os meus relatórios de estágio em Farmácia Hospitalar e Farmácia Comunitária, elaborados segundo uma análise SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats), onde enuncio as atividades realizadas no decurso do estágio, assim como alguns casos práticos relevantes para o meu processo de aprendizagem. A farmácia tem uma história com vários milénios, e ao longo do tempo, demonstrou ter um papel importante nas civilizações. A farmácia de oficina evoluiu e adaptou-se às necessidades da população, tornando-se num espaço com uma abordagem técnica centrada no doente em particular e cidadão no geral. Após décadas de esforço, dedicação e desenvolvimento, a farmácia adquiriu a importância e responsabilidade que possui atualmente, sendo considerada um elemento com uma função primordial no Sistema de Saúde, onde a relação de proximidade e confiança que estabelece com o utente ganha cada vez mais notabilidade. A dinâmica do setor farmacêutico e medicamento, e a realidade tecnológica e científica atual, são diferentes do contexto que sustentou o enquadramento regulamentar das farmácias que vigorava desde os anos 60. Hoje, a farmácia é um setor que se rege por normas legais e deontológicas específicas, tendo sido alvo de inúmeras alterações. Assim, torna-se necessário analisar a evolução das alterações legislativas registadas, avaliando o seu impacto na atividade das farmácias.

The study plan of the Integrated Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences (IMPS) gives, throughout five academic years, a multidisciplinary luggage that intends to cover all the possible areas of the pharmacist situation. The final stage of the IMPS is constituted by the training and by the monograph integrated in the Curricular Unit “Training”. This document includes my training reports in Hospital Pharmacy and Community Pharmacy, elaborated according a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats), where I articulate activities performed during the training, as well as some practical cases relevant for my learning process.The pharmacy has a history with several millennia, and over time, it showed to have an important role in civilizations. The pharmacy workshop evolved and adapted to the needs of the population becoming a space with a technical approach focused in the patient in particular and in the citizen in general. After decades of efforts, dedication and development, the pharmacy acquired the importance and responsibility that possessed nowadays, being considered an element with a primary function in the Health System, where the relationship of proximity and trust that establishes with the patient gains more and more noticeability. The dynamic of the pharmaceutical sector and of the medicine, and the current technological and scientific reality, are different from the context that supported the regulatory framework of the pharmacies that ruled since the 60’s. Today, the pharmacy is a sector that is ruled by specific legal and deontological norms, having been the target of several alterations. Thus, it is necessary to analyses the evolution of the legal alterations registered, evaluating his impact in the pharmacies activity.
