Relatório de Estágio em Análises Clínicas

Abstract

Este relatório tem como objectivo descrever o trabalho realizado durante o estágio curricular no âmbito do Mestrado em Análises Clínicas da Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade de Coimbra, e realizado no Laboratório de Análises Clínicas do Centro de Saúde Militar de Coimbra sob a orientação técnica e científica do Dr. Mário João Gonçalves Roque, especialista em Análises Clínicas e director do laboratório.O trabalho e conhecimento aqui descrito abrange as fases pré-analítica e analítica do percurso das amostras biológicas pelo laboratório de análises clínicas, e focando-se nas áreas da hematologia e imunoserologia clínicas, aplicadas aos parâmetros e testes realizados neste laboratório. Estes parâmetros compreendem os elementos envolvidos nas funções realizadas pelo sistema circulatório, como as células sanguíneas e os factores de hemostase, e pelo perfil serológico, com a detecção de antigénios e anticorpos, resultante de doenças infecciosas.Este relatório irá focar-se nas áreas da hematologia clínica e da imunologia clínica, sendo esta última abordada de um ponto de vista imunoserológico.Este é um laboratório desenhado para corresponder às necessidades analíticas de rotina dos militares do exército e seus familiares fazendo o possível para apresentar resultados confiáveis que permitam auxiliar no seu rastreio, diagnóstico e terapêutica.Este estágio tinha como objectivo a introdução ao ambiente laboratorial das análises clínicas a nível profissional, possibilitando a aplicação dos conceitos e conhecimentos teóricos aprendidos durante o curso à realidade profissional da rotina do laboratório clínico.

This report has the purpose of describing the work developed during the curricular internship in the scope of the Master´s Degree in Clinical Analysis from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra, and executed in the Clinical Analysis Laboratory of the Centro de Saúde Militar de Coimbra under the technical and scientifical guidance of Dr. Mário João Gonçalves Roque, specialist in Clinical Analysis and the director of the laboratory.The work and knowledge here presented encompass the pre-analytical and analytical phases of the samples´ route through the clinical analyses laboratory, focusing in the hematology and immunoserology fields applied to the tests and analytes developed there. These analytical factors range from the elements involved in the vascular system´s functions, such as blood cells and haemostatic factors, to the serological profile, with the detection of antigens and antibodies, resulting from infectious diseases.This report will focus in the clinical hematology and clinical immunology fields, the latter being approached from an immunoserological point.This laboratory is designed to attend to the routine analytical needs of the military soldiers and their families doing the best to provide trustworthy results to better reach its diagnosis and therapy.This internship had as an objective the introduction to the reality of the Clinical Analysis´ Laboratory at a professional level, allowing the application of concepts and knowledge acquired during the course to the professional reality of the clinical laboratory´s routine.
