A integração da população sénior no acesso à tecnologia

Abstract

O presente trabalho de projeto ilustra a criação de uma plataforma online de apoio sénior, no âmbito da integração da população idosa na sociedade atual. Numa era maioritariamente digital, em que a Internet faz parte do quotidiano de todas as gerações, torna-se pertinente chegar aos mais velhos, de modo que não se sintam excluídos e aprendam a usar as diversas ferramentas tecnológicas. Ao longo de todo o projeto pretendemos abordar vários conceitos relacionados com a urgência de uma mente evoluída, destacando a importância da Internet na atualidade, nomeadamente ao nível da interação e da saúde dos cidadãos, destacando os seus múltiplos usos e perigos. Por fim, será explanada toda a parte prática através da criação do site, bem como as ações de formação incluídas neste trabalho.Atualmente, a Internet é um recurso imprescindível sendo por isso, necessário todos termos acesso a ela e procedermos à sua correta utilização, explorando da melhor forma as suas potencialidades. Este trabalho de projeto pretende dar voz a uma geração por vezes esquecida: a população sénior, incluindo-a na vida digital, através do recurso às novas tecnologias. Incutindo práticas informáticas úteis ao nosso quotidiano, entendemos que a Internet pode ser utilizada não só, como meio de comunicação e entretenimento, como também de utilização de serviços, sem ter de existir deslocação.Neste sentido pensámos na criação de uma plataforma digital de apoio que auxiliasse a nossa classe mais envelhecida a usufruir do meio informático com segurança e fácil acesso, em qualquer lugar. Para isto se tornar possível, além da produção de um site direcionado somente para o efeito, tivemos de recorrer a ações de formação para a população sénior mais limitada e menos conhecedora das potencialidades tecnológicas poder aprender a utilizar os diversos recursos digitais. O primeiro capítulo do presente trabalho corresponde à primeira parte do projeto, que engloba o enquadramento teórico e foca-se essencialmente no conceito de idosos, velhice, terceira e quarta idade. No segundo capítulo abordamos a relação dos idosos com as Tecnologias da Informação e da Comunicação (TIC), refletindo sobre a relevância da Internet na atualidade. No terceiro capítulo damos especial atenção ao impacto da Internet na saúde deste grupo etário emergente, expondo benefícios e alertando para os perigos do uso excessivo e desregrado da mesma. No quarto capítulo falamos das novas formas de sociabilidade e da importância das redes sociais digitais. A segunda parte apresenta a parte prática do trabalho de projeto, no âmbito da integração da população sénior no acesso à tecnologia, onde fazemos uma breve caracterização da população e da instituição, expomos os objetivos e o público-alvo do projeto, constituído através de uma plataforma online de apoio e da elaboração de formação prática diária e intensiva.

This project work illustrates the creation of an online platform for senior support in the context of integrating the elderly population in today's society. In a largely digital era, where the Internet is part of everyday life for all generations, it is pertinent to reach older people so they do not feel excluded and learn to use the various technological tools. Throughout the project we intend to address several concepts related to the urgency of an evolved mind, highlighting the importance of the Internet today, namely in terms of interaction and health of citizens, highlighting its multiple uses and dangers. Finally, the practical part will be explained through the creation of the site, as well as the training actions included in this work.Today, the Internet is an essential resource for the use, the best and quickest access to their uses, exploiting them as their potentialities.The work of voice generation for a generation of forgotten people: a senior population, including digital life, through the use of new technologies. By embracing informatics practices useful to our everyday life, we understand that the Internet can not be used as a means of communication and entertainment, but also the use of services without having to travel.In this regard, we thought of creating a digital support platform that would help our aging class to enjoy the computing environment with security and easy access, anywhere. For this to become possible, in addition to the production of a site directed only for this purpose, we had to resort to training actions for the more limited senior population and less knowledgeable of the technological potentialities to be able to learn to use the various digital resources.The first chapter of this paper corresponds to the first part of the project, which encompasses the theoretical framework and focuses essentially on the concept of the elderly, old age, third and fourth age.In the second chapter, we discuss the relationship of the elderly with Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), reflecting on the relevance of the Internet today.In the third chapter we pay special attention to the impact of the Internet on the health of this emerging age group, exposing benefits and warning of the dangers of excessive and unregulated use of it.In the fourth chapter we talked about the new forms of sociability and the importance of digital social networks. The second part presents the practical part of the project work, in the scope of integration of the senior population in access to technology, where we make a brief characterization of the population and the institution, explain the objectives and the target audience of the project, constituted through a online platform of support and the elaboration of daily practical training and intensive.
