Trabalho Feminino em Contexto Urbano. O caso de Coimbra - os finais do século XIX e a atualidade.

Abstract

The internship report has as main target to describe the different activities developed throughout the supervised pedagogical practice and during the History and Geography seminars. Chapter I concerns the pedagogical internship performed in Bissaya Barreto college, introducing a characterization of the school and the assigned classes, as well as the various activities established during the curricular internship. Thus, in this chapter it can be found a detailed description of all my pedagogical internship. The second chapter addresses the scientific research carried out in the scientific seminars of History and Geography. The theme of this investigation focuses on feminin labor in Coimbra, at the end of the XIX century (1890-94), in 1960 and today (2011). In this chapter, in the part concerning the historical approach, there is an analysis of the demographical reality of the 19th century, regarding the feminine labor in Coimbra as well as the migration phenomenon towards this city in the years between 1890 and 1893.In the part concerning the geographical analysis, women from Coimbra in the years of 1960 and 2011 are analyzed, namely feminine labor and education.The third and last chapter presents a description of the didactic application, planned with the purpose of implementing in the classroom the themes designed in the scientific seminars. This didactic application is a workshop with historical sources (records of entry of female patients in the Hospitals of the University of Coimbra) and a work with statistical data (provided by the National Statistical Institute), which was developed with 8th and 9th grade classes.

O relatório de estágio tem como objetivo descrever as diferentes atividades desenvolvidas durante a prática pedagógica supervisionada e nos seminários de História e Geografia. O capítulo I diz respeito à realização do estágio pedagógico no colégio Bissaya Barreto, apresentando uma caracterização da escola, das turmas afetas, bem como das diferentes atividades desenvolvidas ao longo do estágio curricular. Neste capítulo encontra-se assim presente uma descrição detalhada de todo o meu estágio pedagógico. O segundo capítulo aborda a investigação científica realizada nos seminários científicos de História e Geografia. A temática desta investigação centra-se no trabalho feminino em Coimbra, nos finais do século XIX (1890-94), em 1960 e na atualidade (2011). Encontra-se presente neste capítulo na parte relativa à abordagem histórica, uma análise da realidade demográfica do século XIX, do trabalho feminino em Coimbra bem como das migrações para esta cidade nos anos de 1890 a 1893. Na parte correspondente à analise geográfica, são analisadas as mulheres em Coimbra nos anos de 1960 e 2011, nomeadamente o trabalho feminino e a educação.O terceiro e último capítulo apresenta a caracterização da aplicação didática, planeada com vista à ativação, em sala de aula, dos temas desenvolvidos nos seminários científicos. Esta aplicação didática trata-se de um workshop com fontes históricas (registos de entrada de doentes mulheres nos Hospitais da Universidade de Coimbra) e de trabalho com dados estatísticos (Dados fornecidos pelos Instituto Nacional de Estatística), que foi desenvolvido com as turmas do 8º e 9º ano.
