A magia de um sorriso

Abstract

O presente relatório diz respeito ao projeto e atividades desenvolvidas no Centro de Acolhimento Temporário do Loreto, entre 15 de Outubro de 2016 e 11 de Junho de 2017, no âmbito da unidade curricular de Estágio do 2º ano de Mestrado em Educação Social, Desenvolvimento e Dinâmicas Locais. Este constitui um documento formal que descreve toda a nossa prática e respetiva fundamentação em contexto institucional.Após o término do primeiro ano de mestrado foi solicitado aos mestrandos a escolha de um local de estágio, apropriado aos objetivos do plano curricular.Sempre manifestámos interesse em desenvolver o nosso estágio com populações de risco, tendo inicialmente pedido estágio para o Estabelecimento Prisional de Coimbra, tendo sido negado.Como baixar os braços não faz parte do nosso lema de vida, continuamos em busca de um local de estágio. Para tal, realizamos um breve levantamento das instituições existentes em Coimbra e ao longo da sua análise percebemos que havia um Centro de Acolhimento Temporário para Crianças e Jovens em risco.Contactamos a insituição com intuito de marcar uma reunião com a Diretora Técnica e apresentarmos uma proposta de estágio e alguns dias depois recebemos a resposta que o nosso estágio tinha sido aceite.O objetivo principal da nossa intervenção consistiu na aplicação de um programa de treino competências pessoais e sociais e desenvolvimento de atividades de animação sociocultural. Desta forma, o relatório encontra-se estruturado através de um enquadramento teórico, que trata temáticas como crianças e jovens em risco e/ou em perigo; institucionalização; processos-chave aquando da institucionalização; importância do treino de competências pessoais e sociais, Educação Social e o papel do Educador Social. Posteriormente, é apresentada a caracterização da instituição, do projeto de estágio e das atividades desenvolvidas e apresentada a avaliação geral do estágio sob a forma de auto e heteroavaliação.

The present report addresses the project and activities undertaken in Centro de Acolhimento Temporário do Loreto, from 15th of October 2016 to 11th of June 2017, within the course unit of Internship of the 2nd year of the Master’s degree in Social Education, Development and Local Dynamics. This is a formal document describing all our experience and respective justification in the institutional context.After the first year of the Master’s degree it was requested to the students to choose an Internship place suitable to the objectives of the course unit. We allways expressedinterest in develope our internship with populations at risk, therefore requesting the internship to the Estabelecimento Prisional de Coimbra, which was denied.Since giving up is not in our life motto, we continued searching for a internship place.For that, we performed a brief inventory of Coimbra institutions and we found a foster home for children and young people at risk. We contacted the intitution in order toschedual a meating with the technical director, we presented a internship proposal and a few days atter we received a positive reply.After the first year of the Master’s degree it was requested to the students to choose an Internship place suitable to the objectives of the course unit. The main goal of our action consisted on the implementation of a personal and social skills training program and on the development of socio-cultural animation activities.In this way, this report was structured with a theoretical framework dealing with the thematic of children and young people at risk and/or danger, institutionalisation, importance of personal and social skills training, social education and the role of the Social Educator. Subsequently, the institution, internship project and developed activities are presented, along with the internship auto- and hetero-evaluation.
