Comunicação Organizacional e Jornalismo: uma convergência para a Cultura

Abstract

O jornalismo cultural português tem tendência para sofrer, ao longo do tempo, modificações, derivadas da complexidade da sua génese e da dificuldade em definir o conceito de cultura. Investigações no âmbito destas mudanças permitem perceber que, para além de indícios de uma menor cobertura de temáticas culturais, o próprio jornalismo cultural está a mudar a sua forma de estar no jornalismo português. O foco transmuta-se para as agendas culturais, com sugestões de atividades para realizar, deixando de parte a análise e a crítica cultural. Com o intuito de tentar delinear tendências do jornalismo cultural português, realiza-se uma análise de conteúdo a três diários generalistas nacionais e dois diários generalistas da região de Coimbra. O objetivo é perceber qual o peso e espaço que a cultura ocupa no jornalismo português, através da análise de peças de índole cultural e das primeiras páginas deste corpus.O presente relatório é consequência da experiência adquirida no Estágio Curricular realizado no Teatro Académico de Gil Vicente, no Gabinete de Comunicação e Imagem da mesma instituição, no âmbito da disciplina “Estágio/Relatório” do Mestrado em Jornalismo e Comunicação. Pela ligação próxima entre o jornalismo cultural e as organizações culturais, no sentido que as instituições tendem a utilizar os media como principal método de comunicação, tenta-se perceber que estratégias comunicativas externas se podem efetuar que não passem pela interação direta com os meios de comunicação social.

Cultural journalism in Portugal tends to suffer, over time, changes, much due to the complexity of its genesis and the difficulty in defining the concept of culture. Investigations in the scope of these changes allow us to perceive that, in addition to indications of a lower coverage of cultural themes, cultural journalism itself is changing the way it is in Portuguese journalism. The focus transmutes to cultural agendas, with suggestions of activities to accomplish, leaving aside analysis and cultural criticism.With the intention of trying to delineate trends in Portuguese cultural journalism, a content analysis is carried out on three national general diaries and two generalist diaries in the Coimbra region. The objective is to understand the weight and space that culture occupies in Portuguese journalism, through the analysis of cultural pieces and the first pages of this corpus.This report is a consequence of the experience gained in the Curricular Internship held at the Teatro Académico de Gil Vicente, in the Communication and Image Office of the same institution, within the scope of the "Internship / Report" discipline of the Master in Journalism and Communication. Due to the close connection between cultural journalism and cultural organizations, in the sense that institutions tend to use the media as the main method of communication, we tried to perceive that external communication strategies can be made that do not go through direct interaction with the social media.
