A informação generalista num jornal especializado: o caso do jornal A Bola

Abstract

Este relatório de estágio parte de uma experiência de três meses na secção online do Jornal A Bola. Durante o estágio, estive responsável pela secção Outros Mundos (informação generalista), bem diferente daquilo que pensava que ia fazer, uma vez que se tratava de um jornal desportivo.A experiência deu-me a conhecer a evolução do jornalismo desportivo ao longo dos tempos e a necessidade que o mesmo teve em adaptar-se, a uma nova sociedade, uma sociedade mais informada com um público mais exigente.No trabalho são abordadas as várias fases do jornalismo desportivo, desde o seu aparecimento à actualidade, tendo a Internet como principal fator de mudança. É com esta nova era que surge um novo jornalismo, o jornalismo online, onde é definido o conceito e feita a sua caracterização, com destaque para o caso português.As mudanças no meio levaram a uma análise comparativa do suporte online dos três jornais mais vendidos em Portugal: A Bola, o Record e O Jogo. Com um olhar sobre a tendência que o trio teve em produzir conteúdos extra desporto e os números que os separam.O último ponto abordado, é o jornal A Bola, onde falo da sua a história e da influência que teve na sociedade e no jornalismo em Portugal. Falo sobre a minha vontade de trabalhar no jornal desportivo mais antigo do país, das funções que desempenhei no estágio e os conteúdos por mim produzidos, com o recurso a alguns exemplos. Tentando sempre colocar o meu olhar mais pessoal e crítico do trabalho que foi e é feito e aquele que me faltou fazer.

This report is the result of a three-month experience as an intern in the online section of the newspaper A Bola. During the internship, I was responsible for the section Outros Mundos dedicated to general news. This wasn’t quite what I had expected to do since this is a sports newspaper.Nevertheless, this experience allowed me to learn about the evolution of sports journalism throughout the times and about how it had to adapt itself to a new society and to a more demanding and educated audience.This report analyses the different stages of sports journalism, from it’s beggining until today, with Internet being the main factor to influence chances. It is in this new era That a new journalism appears, online journalism. Here we define the concept of online journalism and characterise it, particularly portuguese journalism.The changes in the field led to a comparative analysis of of the online versions of the three best-selling newspapers in Portugal: A Bola, O Jogo and Record. Here, we look at the trend all three followed to produce contents not only related to sports while also analysing the figures for each one.The last point discussed is the newspaper A Bola. Here i talk about its history and about the influence it had, not only in Portuguese journalism but also in the society. I talk about my desire to Work in the oldest sports newspaper in the country, about the tasks I performed during the internship, and about the contents I produced, with the help of examples. I do I do this while always trying to critically analyse the work that was done and that should have Been.
