Estudo comparativo das Representações Sociais da Violência nos Parceiros Íntimos entre os Psicólogos e Profissionais do sector da saúde

Abstract

O presente estudo tem como objetivo principal explorar as representações sociais dos psicólogos e profissionais do sector da saúde relativamente à violência entre parceiros íntimos e a resolução de táticas de conflitos nas suas relações íntimas. Ainda, é explorada a relação das representações sociais e sua influência da formação dos profissionais. A amostra é constituída por 367 sujeitos, sendo dos quais 13.1% psicólogos e 86.9% profissionais de outras categorias. Foi administrado um protocolo que incluí as Escalas de Táticas de Conflito Revisadas (The Revised Conflict Tactics Scales-CTS-2), o Questionário de Violência Conjugal- Histórias (QRVC-HIS) e o Questionário de Violência Conjugal- Causas, Manutenção e Resolução (QVC-CMR).Os resultados evidenciaram uma baixa legitimação da violência entre parceiros íntimos, embora os profissionais do setor da saúde legitimam mais que os psicólogos. No que concerne às relações íntimas dos sujeitos verificou-se que a maioria dos sujeitos utilizam a tática da Negociação. Contudo, os dados demonstram alguma preocupação pelos valores elevados para o uso de táticas abusivas em conflitos conjugais. Apesar de não se observar diferenças estatisticamente significativas do papel da formação em a violência entre os parceiros (VPI), constata-se um decréscimo da sua legitimização. Os resultados obtidos transparecem a necessidade do desenvolvimento de iniciativas de formação para os profissionais de saúde para que se possa erradicar a influência das crenças culturais sobre a VPI, e fomentar a sensibilização e capacitação destes para uma intervenção mais rica e eficaz junto das vítimas e dos perpetradores.

The current study has as a central objective to explore the social representations about intimate partner violence of psychologists and professionals in the health sector and the resolution of conflict tactics in their intimate relationships. Additionally, the study investigates the relationship between social representations and their influence on the professionals training. The sample consists of 367 subjects, of whom 13.1% are psychologists and 86.9% are professionals working in the health sector. A protocol was administered that included the Revised Conflict Tactics Scales (CTS-2), the Conjugal Violence-Stories Questionnaire (QRVC-HIS) and the Conjugal Violence-Causes, Maintenance and Resolution Questionnaire (QVC-CMR). The results revealed a low legitimation of violence among intimate partners, although the other professionals legitimize more than the psychologists.Regarding the subjects' intimate relationships, it was demonstrated that most subjects use the Negotiation tactic. However, the data demonstrate some concern about the high values for the use of abusive tactics in marital conflicts.Although there are no statistically significant differences in the role of training in violence between partners (IPV), it is verified a decrease in their legitimacy.The results obtained indicate the need for the development of training initiatives for health professionals to avoid the influence of cultural beliefs on IPV. It is essential to instigate the sensibilization and training of this professionals to obtain interventions more effective next of the victims and perpretrators.
