A construção das aprendizagens em Filosofia e a abertura à φρóνησις

Abstract

O presente relatório, “O desenvolvimento científico-tecnológico e o Humanismo no papel do professor de filosofia”, circunscreve-se no âmbito da unidade curricular do Estágio/ Relatório do curso de 2º ciclo – Mestrado em Ensino da Filosofia no Ensino Secundário da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra. Este relatório tem como propósito dar a conhecer alguns dos trabalhos desenvolvidos com os alunos no âmbito de toda a Prática Pedagógica e, através da discussão e da apresentação desses mesmos trabalhos, demonstrar alguns aspetos relativos ao modo como a aprendizagem pode ser desenvolvida e potenciada na disciplina de Filosofia, bem como a tarefa específica a que a mesma adquire na formação individual do aluno. A prática pedagógica evidenciou que a aprendizagem da disciplina tem de ser, acima de tudo, um ato de significado, isto é, a aprendizagem de conhecimentos poderosos, integrados no esquema cognitivo individual dos alunos e capazes de vincular um olhar mais atento e crítico à realidade no seu todo. Nesse sentido, o professor de filosofia, mais do que qualquer outro, tem um papel demarcador na abertura à possibilidade deste olhar crítico sobre o real. Esta preponderância do papel do professor de filosofia torna-se crescente numa era de deslumbramento em termos científico-tecnológicos, na medida em que, cada vez mais, se clama a necessidade de repensar os efeitos e os limites que este mesmo desenvolvimento envolve. Para além disso, torna-se imprescindível no presente avaliar e calcular a relação inerente entre ganhos e perdas para a própria humanidade resultantes do mesmo desenvolvimento. Para isso, o professor de filosofia torna-se responsável por dar as ferramentas necessárias à constituição dessa análise e reflexão, por configurar a competência da φρóνησις.

This report, "The Scientific and Technological Development and Humanism in the Role of the Professor of Philosophy", was developed in the scope of the curricular unit of the 2nd Cycle Course - Master in Philosophy Teaching in Secondary School of the Faculty of Letters - University of Coimbra. The purpose of the report is to present some of the works developed with the students in the scope of the Pedagogical Practice and to discuss these works to demonstrate some aspects related to the way that the learning process can be developed and strengthened by the discipline of Philosophy, as well as Its importance in contributing to the student`s individual education. The pedagogical practice demonstrated that the learning of this discipline must be an act with significance, i. e., the learning of strong knowledge, integrated in the individual cognitive schema of the students, to create a critical view of the reality. In this sense, the professor of philosophy, more than any other, has a demarcating role in enhancing this critical view of the reality. This preponderance of the role of the professor of philosophy is growing in an era of scientific and technological dazzling development, due to the necessity to rethink their effects and limits. Moreover, nowadays it is imperative to assess the inherent relationship between gains and losses for humanity itself resulting from this development. Hence, the philosophy teacher becomes responsible for giving the necessary tools for this analysis and reflection, promoting the φρóνησις.
