Abstract: O presente relatório advém do estágio curricular realizado no âmbito do Mestrado em Gestão pela Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra. O estágio, enquadrado na área de Gestão Estratégica, decorreu entre 23 de janeiro e 30 de maio de 2017 na Stratbond Consulting, Lda. A temática nuclear deste relatório reporta à Análise da Concorrência, cujo propósito passa por reconhecer as principais características dos concorrentes de uma dada empresa. De forma consequente, a investigação elaborada sugere que os gestores devem empregar ações com base no conhecimento recolhido acerca dos concorrentes e, daí, formularem as estratégias mais indicadas que os levem a alcançar uma vantagem competitiva no mercado. Assim, pretende-se aliar o trabalho desenvolvido no decorrer do estágio curricular com esta vertente da Estratégia. Com efeito, a minha experiência enquanto estagiário da Stratbond Consulting, Lda. permitiu o contacto direto com clientes cujos projetos incorporavam tarefas relacionadas com o estudo dos concorrentes. Em suma, é intenção deste relatório apresentar alguns métodos utilizados no processo de Análise da Concorrência e, por conseguinte, demonstrar a importância e o impacto ao nível estratégico que esta pode ter no processo de integração de uma empresa no mercado. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following report is based on a curricular internship for the Master in Management, by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra. The internship, which could be seen as related to the field of Strategic Management, occurred between 23th of January and 30th of May of 2017, on Stratbond Consulting, Lda. The central theme of this report is Competitive Analysis, which the main goal is to recognize the essential characteristics of the rivals of a given company. Consequently, the research made, suggests that managers should take actions and formulate strategies, based on the information gathered about the competitors, that allows them to gain a competitive advantage on the market. Therefore, the aim is to join the work made during the curricular internship with this aspect of Strategy. Indeed, my experience as an intern of Stratbond Consulting, Lda allowed me to engage directly with clients whose projects had many tasks related with the study of competitors. To sum up, the purpose of this report is to present some methods used on the process of Competitive Analysis, and therefore, to show the importance and the effect at the strategic level that it could have on the process of integration of a company on the market. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
