Frente de Ria, Frente de Mar. Intervenção e Requalificação na cidade de Olhão.

Abstract

A temática desta tese centra-se na requalificação urbana e na valorizaçãoambiental do território de Olhão, especificamente associada ao Parque Natural da RiaFormosa, pela introdução dos temas do Desporto, Lazer e Cultura na articulação entre ocentro urbano histórico, a frente de Ria e a frente de Mar, com o propósito domelhoramento do turismo local, dominado pela prática do turismo de “Sol e Mar “.Neste contexto, o projeto prático desenvolvido baseia-se na definição de umpercurso de caráter cultural, que interligará a frente de Ria à frente de Mar, explorando o potencial dos recursos naturais e humanos locais.As diversas intervenções preconizadas são, então, estruturadas a partir da criação de uma relação física – hoje inexistente – entre as duas frentes de água, a costa marítima da Ilha de Armona e a frente ribeirinha da cidade de Olhão, com a construção de uma ponte pedonal. Outro princípio adotado, foi o da ligação destas duas frentes ao centro urbano histórico, conhecido pela pequena “vila cubista”, na perspetiva de complementar a vertente turística da cidade e da região. .

The theme of this thesis focuses on the urban requalification and environmental valuation of the territory of Olhão, specifically associated with the Natural Park of Ria Formosa, by introducing the themes of Sport, Leisure and Culture in the articulation between the historical urban center, in front of Ria and the sea front, with the purpose of improving local tourism, dominated by the practice of "Sun and Sea" tourism. In this context, the practical project developed is based on the definition of a cultural course, which will connect the Ria de Mar front, exploring the potential of local natural and human resources. The various interventions that have been advocated are then structured through the creation of a physical relationship - now non-existent - between the two water fronts, the maritime coast of the Island of Armona and the riverside front of the city of Olhão, with the construction of a bridge pedestrian Another principle adopted was the connection of these two fronts to the historical urban center, known by the small "cubist village", in the perspective of complementing the tourist side of the city and the region. .
