“ A cidade favorece a arte , é a própria arte . ” Considerando a cidade . Alvo de constantes fenómenos e intervenções , este mecanismo vivo e altamente complexo , é por excelência a esfera física de atuação do homem . Ao deambular pela cidade , sobressaem os cinzentos e os coloridos dos edifícios . Competem por uma visualidade urbana e partilham o espaço citadino . Estas leituras proporcionam a sua singularidade e identidade e refletem simultaneamente o quotidiano de uma sociedade . Assim , sendo os próprios edifícios e construções atos de manifestação e adaptação local , as ações artísticas provenientes no espaço publico urbano surgem também, neste contexto, como um ritual de expressão neste território . Estas atitudes criativas e artísticas no meio urbano , aliadas ao fazer arquitectónico desempenham um papel significante para a imagem da cidade contribuindo em estratégias de revitalização de espaços devolutos presentes na cidade . Utilizando a cidade quer na sua matriz sociocultural quer nas contradições económicas que a dominam , estas manifestações , surgem no âmbito urbano e assim como o fazer arquitectónico , modificam e interferem na experiência da cidade.

These creative and artistic attitudes in the urban environment , allied to the architectonic make play a significant role for the image of the city contributing in strategies of rehabilitation of empty spaces present in the city. Using the city as inspiration , these manifestations arise in the urban sphere and as well as the architectural making, modify and interfere in the experience of the city .
