Para avaliar o funcionamento familiar foi utilizado o Systemic Clinical Outcome and Routine Evaluation (SCORE-15; Stratton, Bland, Janes&Lask, 2010) numa amostra constituída por 100 sujeitos (n=50 doentes com VIH/SIDA e n=50 doentes com tuberculose). Foram posteriormente realizadas as análises descritivas dos itens e a consistência interna do instrumento, em ambas as subamostras. Para comparar o funcionamento familiar dos doentes com VIH/SIDA e com tuberculose utilizou-se o teste t de Student para amostras independente. Os resultados revelaram que os doentes com VIH/SIDA apresentam um pior funcionamento familiar, quando comparados com os doentes com tuberculose. Este estudo tem como principal implicação promover o debate e a discussão sobre o VIH/SIDA, de modo a promover políticas de apoio social a estes doentes e às suas famílias This study aims to compare family functioning in patients with HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis in the Angolan context. This study had the main implication promote debate and discussion about HIV/AIDS, in order to promote social support policies for these patients and their families. |
