This report aims to analyze the profile of the thermalist customer that attends the Aquadome thermal spa – in Unhais da Serra. All the analysis and considerations in this report are the result of an internship made at the hotel H2otel Congress & Medical Spa, in Aquadome, for three months. Thus, this article analyzes the thermalist customer profile, while seeking to find out the important aspects to take into consideration when choosing a thermal unit, whether for therapeutic purposes or for leisure. Health tourism is currently an emerging industry and a great commitment at a national and international level, due to the association of pleasure with wellness. It is especially sought after by tourists with senior professional positions, which do not allow a lifestyle away from stress, who can afford recurrent practices of physical and intellectual well-being. This way, the new hotel complexes are increasingly a successful investment, especially due to increase in lifespan and to the growing importance of aesthetics in our society in recent years, which makes it essential for hoteliers to offer products related to health and well-being in their leisure tour packages, so as to attract customers. This study will be carried out using data obtained from surveys answered by a number of hosted and independent spa customers, who have attended the Aquadome, so as to figure out what differentiates this hotel unit, H2otel Congress & Medical Spa, from others, when making the final choice of a destination, based on the costumer profile.
