Relatório de estágio : mestrado em análises clínicas

Abstract

É recomendado começar a montar um puzzle pelos quatro cantos do retângulo. Descobrimos o local correto das peças pelos tons que a constituem e pela sua forma. Deste modo, as quatro valências das análises clínicas: a bioquímica, a microbiologia, a hematologia e a imunologia; funcionam para o médico como a forma e a cor funcionam para quem está a montar o puzzle. É, a partir da informação conseguida pelos testes e observações realizadas no laboratório, que o médico fica com a capacidade de fazer um diagnóstico. Os laboratórios clínicos têm assim a função de “transformar” as variadas amostras em valores que o clínico vai interpretar e confirmar ou não o diagnóstico de que suspeitava. Tive a oportunidade de realizar o estágio curricular no Instituto Português de Oncologia de Coimbra Francisco Gentil. Nestes sete meses vivi o quotidiano de uma rotina hospitalar onde enriqueci e desenvolvi conhecimentos (teóricos e práticos) nas quatro valências das análises clínicas. Neste relatório retrato a minha experiência neste estágio e nos respectivos sectores referidos anteriormente. O sector de microbiologia e de hematologia despertaram um interesse particular em mim, e por isso, tive a oportunidade de aprofundar os meus conhecimentos nestas duas valências. Descrevo ainda o controlo de qualidade realizado nestes sectores, uma atividade que contribui para garantir que as determinações realizadas sejam credíveis e fiáveis.

It is recommended to start building a puzzle by the four corners of the rectangle. The correct places for the pieces are discovered parts of by their shape and colors. Thus the four valences of clinical analysis: biochemistry, microbiology, hematology and immunology; work for the doctor as the shape and color work for anyone building the puzzle. It is based on information obtained by tests and observations made in the laboratory that the doctor gets the ability to make a diagnosis or confirm suspicions thereof. Clinical laboratories as well have a role in "transforming" the varied samples in quantities that the doctor will interpret and use to make a diagnosis. I had the opportunity to perform the curricular training in Instituto Português de Oncologia Francisco Gentil in Coimbra. In these seven months I lived the daily routine of a hospital where I enriched and developed knowledge ( theoretical and practical ) in the four valences of clinical analysis. This report describes my experience in this curricular training in the sectors mentioned above. The sectors of microbiology and hematology awakened particular interest in me, and so I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge in these two areas . It is also described the quality control carried out in these areas, which helps to ensure that the determinations are credible and reliable.
