The study of a gracious roman altar from Olisipo, which is showed at Évora Regional Museum. It presents a very singular typology and decoration, with parallels in the epigraphic monuments from Rome. The epitaph reveals the great pain of a father – freeman of the well known gens Caecilia of Olisipo – who lost their children at a very young age. Their names – Hermetianus and Silicianus – are unknown until now in the roman peninsular epigraphy.por
