A prática de uma aprendizagem

Abstract

Esta dissertação teve como principal objectivo refletir sobre a minha experiência realizada no âmbito da arquitetura em Portugal - realização do projeto da Prova Final de Licenciatura - Reconversão de uma Escola de Arte em Cabo Verde paralelamente com a colaboração em projetos diversos no escritório do Arq. José Gigante - e em Cabo Verde - vinculado ao M_EIA Instituto Universitário de Arte, Tecnologia e Cultura enquanto arquiteto responsável do Departamento de Arquitetura e docente dos cursos de artes visuais, design e arquitetura. O discurso provém da prática das aprendizagens, uma vez que considero a experiência enquanto objecto de análise e reflexão enraizada na realidade. Essa mesma experiência é potenciadora de um discurso que transporta em si suas construções culturais e sociais numa perspectiva de produção de conhecimento engajado e implicado com o contexto de onde advém. Ao longo da dissertação sobressaem as singularidades dos diferentes projetos. Na primeira e segunda parte desta dissertação, centradas no projeto da Prova Final e na experiência no escritório do Arq. José Gigante, a aprendizagem é dotada de um tempo de ação em que o ato de projetar encontra o seu sentido real, entre o processo e a obra. No entanto, na terceira parte, em que me dedico fundamentalmente aos projetos do Departamento e respectivos cruzamentos pedagógicos no M_EIA, a aprendizagem concretiza-se no tempo de ação em que o ato de projetar encontra o seu sentido de compromisso com a realidade de Cabo Verde. O mais recente desafio, da prática da arquitetura em Cabo Verde, é incorporado na dinâmica pedagógica do M_EIA e é através da investigação aplicada que se encontram respostas para a prática da arquitetura neste contexto sustentadas no resgate das tecnologias de construção endógenas e dos paradigmas da arquitetura contemporânea. The primary objective of this dissertation is the reflection of my work experience in the ambit of arquitecture in Portugal – realization of the final project of the graduation test – Reconversion of an Art School in Cape Verde, parallel colaboration with various projects in the José Gigante’s Architecture office – and in Cabo Verde – attached to M_EIA - Universtity Institute of Art, Technology and Culture as the Arquitect responsible for the Architecture Department and teacher for the Visual Arts, Design and Architecture courses. This discourse originates from apprenticeship once that i consider experience as the analisis object and reflexion with enfasis on the reality. This same experience is the potential of the discourse that internaly transports their cultural and social constructions in the perspective of knowledge production, attached and implicated in the context which it originates. Through out the dissertation, i bring to surface the singularities of the different projects. In the first and second part of this dissertation, focused on the project for the Final Test and through the experience gained in the José Gigante’s Architecture office, the knowledge aquired is gifted with a time of action in which the act of projecting, finds its real meaning, between the process and the actual work. Meanwhile, in the third part, its fundamentaly dedicated to the Department projects and the respective pedagogical intersections in M_EIA, the knowledge aquirement meets its end with the time of action where the act of projecting finds its engagement with the reality of Cape Verde. The most recent challenge, in the praxis of architecture in Cape Verde, is incorporated in M_EIA´s pedagogical dynamics and its through the applied research which we find the answers to the architecture praxis in this context, sustained by recovering the endogenous construction technologies and the paradigms of the contemporary architecture.
